A Barnesville man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after attempting to flee Mahanoy City Police early Saturday.
According to Mahanoy City Police, on Saturday morning, around 1:00am, Officer Frank Gallo and Officer Weicikosky were on patrol in the area of 9th and Market Street.
At the intersection, they witnessed an ATV drive through a stop sign at the intersection.
The officers began to follow the ATV as it failed to stop at numerous intersections with stop signs.
Once the officers activated their lights and sirens, the ATV increased its speed proceeding through at least 6 intersections with stops signs.
The officers followed the ATV until it began to flee on Route 339 and down a dirt path.
The pursuit was called off until the officers spotted the ATV again.
The officers approached and took the driver, Daniel Hall, 57, of Barnesville into custody.
Hall was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli on charges of fleeing or eluding police, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license DUI relate, recklessly endangering another person, careless driving, as well as traffic violations.
Tarantelli locked Hall up in Schuylkill County Prison on $50,000 (10%) cash bail.
