A Schuylkill Haven home was destroyed by fire overnight.
Just before 1:00am, Wednesday, emergency personnel were dispatched to 63 Grant Street for a possible structure fire.
As fire personnel arrived on scene, the address was changed to 51 Grant Street where heavy fire was found coming from the rear of the home.
Firefighters battled heavy fire and brought it under control within an hour of being called. The fire was contained to the single home.
One firefighter was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries when a stairway collapsed. According to the Liberty Fire Company, the firefighter was treated and released.
The American Red Cross is assisting the three adults and 2 children that lived in the home.
