It was announced earlier this week that North Schuylkill graduate, Tyler Elsdon, will start for the Nittany Lions this Thursday night in their game against Purdue.
Over the past several weeks, news has been slowly trickling out of Happy Valley on who the starters will be for the upcoming Nittany Lions College Football Season.
Schuylkill County has been buzzing with North Schuylkill Class of 2020 graduate, Tyler Elsdon being a front-runner for a linebacker position.
Elsdon, a sophmore, and native of Frackville, appeared in 12 games during his Freshman season that included 12 tackles, 9 of those tackles being solo.
He also recorded 1 tackle during his true Freshman season in the team's finale in 2020 against Illinois.
For the start of the 2022, Elsdon has been in the running for the Middle Linebacker position with teammate Kobe King, a position left vacant by Ellis Brooks.
On Monday, PSU Football Head Coach James Franklin made the announcement official to Andrew Kalista, of Fox 43 (also a Schuylkill County Native).

The North Schuylkill School District and Schuylkill County Treasurer's Office have announced dress down days where they will be wearing Elsdon and Penn State attire.
