Schuylkill County Communities Schedule Events for National Night Out

Several Schuylkill County communities have scheduled National Night Out events for Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022.

Frackville

WHERE: Frackville Pool/Memorial Park

WHEN: August 2nd, 2022 - 5:00pm to 8:00pm

The pool will be open for a FREE swimming. Refreshments will be available, bounce house for the kids, Frackville Rotary will talk about skin care safety, Frackville Elks will have drug prevention information, Gordon and Ashland Boy Scouts will be talking about safety and giving away glow sticks.

Lehigh Valley Medevac, Frackville, Altamont, and Englewood Fire Departments, Police Department, and Ambulance.

The Frackville Mountaineer cheerleaders and football players will also be there.

Girardville

WHERE: Rangers Hose Company, 6 East Ogden Street, Girardville

WHEN:  August 2nd, 2022 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Hot dogs, snow cones, snacks, and drinks!

The Girardville Fire Deparment will be on hand to talk about fire safety with the fire safety trailer, obstacle course.  Event goers can also check out the fire apparatus and gear. 

Also attending will be the Girardville Police Department, Ashland EMS, Ashland Boy Scout Troop 645.

Orwigsburg

WHERE: M&T Parking Lot, Orwigsburg

WHEN:  August 2nd, 2022 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

The Orwigsburg Police Officers will be on hand to show off their patrol vehicles, equipment, and answer any questions you may have. Hot dogs with other light refreshments will be served. 

Games and prizes available for kids. You’ll even be able to meet Scruff McGruff and shake his paw.

 
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board will have a stand featuring educational materials and an agent available to answer any questions.

Pottsville

WHERE:  JFK Pool and Basketball Courts

WHEN:  August 2nd, 2022 - 2:00pm to 7:00pm

Pottsville Police will be at the Pool and Basketball Courts for a meet and greet with everyone in a fun and relaxed environment.

Free Hot dogs and sodas with other giveaways. The pool will also be open.

McGruff the crime dog will visit from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
