A Schuylkill County man is locked in prison after he being wanted on numerous warrants and for providing false information to police.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2022, around 8:20am, a male and female were reported be in the rear yard of a home on Lotus Alley in West Mahanoy Township trying to remove a snow blower from a shed.
Troopers responded to the area and found the pair walking in the area, where they were stopped and questioned.
The male, later identified as Felix Romeu, 39, of Frackville, provided false information to police and was released. Police later determined his identity and learned he had several warrants for his arrest from Police Departments from Shenandoah, Pottsville, Orwigsburg Police, Schuylkill Haven PSP, and Reading PSP.
Romeu was later found walking into the rear of a home on South Spencer Street where he was taken into custody after being found hiding in the basement.
Romeu was arraigned by several Schuylkill County Magistrates over several days for the numerous warrants which include:
- August 23rd, 2022 - Arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Rossi on charges from Schuylkill Haven PSP that include Access Device Fraud - Bail set at $25,000 Straight Cash
- August 24th, 2022 - Arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Reiley on charges from the Pottsville Police that included Forgery/Bad Checks - Bail set at $15,000 straight cash
- August 24th, 2022 - Arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Plachko on charges from the Reading PSP that included Theft/Bad Checks - Bail set at $10,000(10%)
- August 24th, 2022 - Arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Kilker on charges from Shenandoah Police for Theft/ Bad Checks - Bail set at $10,000 (10%)
- August 26th, 2022 - Arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Kilker on charges from Shenandoah Police that include Theft/Forgery - Bail set at $10,000 (10%)
- August 26th, 2022 - Arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Serina on charges from Orwigsburg Police that included Theft/Bad Checks - Bail set at $5,000 straight cash
