Yunling Lou, 85, of Pottsville, PA passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.Born in Harbin, China, on May 21, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Fenglin Lou and Yuqing Zhang.
Yunling enjoyed painting, playing piano and the harmonica. She was active in the Pottsville Senior Center. Prior to retirement, she worked for as an accountant.
Yunling is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, ChengCheng Tang; son, Louyang Tang, and wife, Ying Zhu, NJ; daughter, Louyi Tang, and her husband, David Wilkinson NY; grandchild, Charles Tang; and her sister, Yundi Lou.
A graveside service will be held on Friday at 12:00 PM in Charles Baber Cemetery, Pottsville. Schlitzer-Allen Pugh Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Born on July 25, 1924 in Forestville, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (nee Dancho) Wernosky. She attended Cass Township Schools, graduating with the Class of 1942. After High School, during World War II, she worked in the office of the Lytle Coal Co. She was later employed as a clerk at Messner & Hess store in Minersville. She enjoyed assisting customers and loved it even more when they recognized her while out in the community 30 years later.
She married her high school sweetheart, Stephen, after World War II ended and enjoyed almost 70 yrs of marriage.
She was predeceased by Stephen (February 2017); brothers, Wassel, Stephen and Andrew Wernosky, sisters Anna Smilko, Julia Hardock, Mary Mull and Martha Rhein; Adam and Helen died in childhood.
She was a member of St Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church for her entire life and sang in the church choir for 70 yrs. Nana loved baking chocolate chip cookies and no grandchild, great-grandchild, (or any of their friends) could leave her home without having “Nana” cookies to take with them. She enjoyed attending the sporting events of her grandchildren.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Cheryl Koscil (husband, Ken), Primrose, Joan Warner (husband, Chuck), Morrisville, NC, Karen Connors (widow of Clifford), Northampton; six grandchildren Kevin Koscil (wife Kelly), Keith Koscil (wife Rachel), Charley Warner (wife Courtney), Alexandra Warner, CJ Connors, Casey Connors; and her seven great-grandchildren, Keaton, Kinnon, Kallan and Kennett Koscil, Bodey, Maisie and Sadie Koscil; along with eight nieces and nephews.
The family will accept visitors at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury Street, Minersville on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until Panachida Services at 10:15 A.M. Requiem Divine Liturgy will be in St. Nicholas Church, 415 N. Front Street, Minersville, at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Those attending should plan their arrival for 9:45 A.M. at the National Cemetery. If desired, the family appreciates donations to St. Nicholas Church.

Gregorio Ortega, de 64 años de edad, residente de Pine Street, Mahanoy City, falleció el Domingo, 31 de Julio del 2022 mientras estaba en casa al cuidado de su familia.
Nacido el Viernes, 27 de Diciembre del 1957 en la República Dominicana. Fue un padre dedicado a su familia y ahora acompaña a su hijo Edison Vasquez en el reino de los cielos.
Gregorio fue muy querido por su hijo Juan Vasquez y esposa Yannirys, sus demás hijos, nietos, hermanos, demás familiares, y amigos.
Gregorio era un talentoso personal de mantenimiento por profesión, quien nunca se negó a ayudar a quienes lo necesitaban. Su alegría y carisma contagiaba a todos los que lo rodeaban; sus familiares y amigos lo extrañarán grandemente y siempre vivirá en cada uno de nuestros corazones.

Dorothy L. Horbach, 82, of Ashland passed away Tuesday morning at home.
She was born on May 16, 1940 in Ashland and was the daughter of the late Ruth (Smith) and William Wetzel.
Dorothy was a lifelong member of Bethany EC Church, Ashland. She held many roles in the church over the years. These included, church secretary, lay delegate and steward.
Dorothy was a graduate of Ashland High School Class of 1958.
She was the wife of the late Harold R. Horbach who passed away in 2015.
Over the years she worked for Bell Telephone, Ashland State Hospital, Payne’s Flowers and Gay Store.
Dorothy was also a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was a huge NY Yankees fan. Dorothy also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, puzzles and traveling.
In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by an infant brother.
Dorothy is survived by; daughter Jan Schreffler (Robert), Ashland; son Robert Horbach, Ashland; sister Janice Kostrzewski, Sarasota FL; sister Ruthanne Himmelwright, Southwest Ranches FL; sister Karen Snyder (David Jr.), Gordon; 3 granddaughters Jessica Kowalchick (Jared), Jersey Shore; Skylar Horbach, Ashland; Sophie Horbach, Ashland; 2 great granddaughters Jemma and Jocelyn Kowalchick; aunt Betty Sherman, Cincinnati OH; many nieces and nephews.
A service will be held on Friday August 5th at 11:00 AM in the Bethany EC Church, Ashland. A viewing for family will and friends will be held in the church Friday morning from 9-11:00 AM. Burial will follow services at Christ Church Cemetery, Fountain Springs.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dorothy’s memory to Bethany EC Church Memorial Fund, 15 N 13th St, Ashland PA 17921.
