Rosalie Ella Hollenbach, 69, of Brockton, PA and formerly of Tamaqua, PA, died on Monday, August 29, 2022, at home with family by her side. She was the wife of Jay A. Hollenbach with whom she celebrated 53 years of marriage this past March.
Born in Lehighton, PA on November 13, 1952, Rosalie was a daughter of the late Willi Robert and Gertrud Ella (Bleul) Oertner. Having attended Tamaqua schools, she furthered her education at Marlin studying to become an LPN. Rosalie worked at and retired from the Good Samaritan Hospital where she always went the extra mile for the patients under her care. She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tamaqua.
In addition to her husband, Jay, Rosalie is survived by son Jay A. Hollenbach, Jr. and his wife Gloria of Tamaqua; daughter, Melissa Clouser and her husband Rodney of Barnesville, PA; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; siblings, Kurt Oertner and his wife Joyce, Siegfried Oertner and his wife Carol, Marianne Ulrich, Willi Oertner and his wife Kay, and Conroy Oertner; sister-in-law, Doris Oertner; several nephews and nieces; and longtime friend and caregiver, Karen Edmonds.
She was predeceased by siblings, Walter Oertner and Ingeborg Shipwash.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, September 2, 2022, at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua. Call 9-11 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials in Rosalie’s name may be made to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 Mauch Chunk Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252.
Arrangements are being handled by the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Tamaqua.
Mindy Scott Nalesnik, 65, of Tamaqua, PA died on Friday, August 26, 2022, in Coaldale, PA. She was the wife of the late Lawrence Nalesnik who died May 17, 1998.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 26, 1956, Mindy was a daughter of James Foster of Parma, Ohio, and the late Sandra (Scott) Williams. She was a 1974 graduate of Panther Valley High School. \
In addition to her father, she is survived by son, Tyson Nalesnik and his wife Jaclyn of Tamaqua; grandchildren, Emily Mae Shook of Lansford, PA, Trinity Werley of Tamaqua, Truitt Werley of Coaldale, Gabrielle Nalesnik of Palmerton, PA, Eli Riess of Palmerton, Sierra Petrucci of Tamaqua, and Tyler Petrucci of Tamaqua; brothers, Steve Foster and his wife, Fran of Lansford and Brian Danchack of Lansford; sister, Laura Sabol of Summit Hill, PA; many nephews and nieces; step mother Lynn Foster of Parma; and step father, Larry Williams of Summit Hill, PA.
In addition to her husband Larry, she was predeceased by son, Kyle Nalesnik and sister, Heather Foster.
Memorials in Mindy’s name may be made to the Carbon County Animal Shelter, 63 Broad Street, Nesquehoning, PA 18240.

Born on February 24, 1959 in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Irvin "Erps" and Helen Barnes Schaeffer.
He was a 1977 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School.
Edward was a Delivery Driver for Daubert's Distributors, Pine Grove.
He was a member of the H. H. & L. Fire Co. #1, Pine Grove and the Tremont Fire Co. He was an avid Penn State fan.
Preceding him in death were a brother Joel Schaeffer, and two sisters, Marjorie Schaeffer and Crystal Krammes.
Surviving are a daughter; two grandchildren; two sisters, Holly Morgan of Pine Grove, Lori and husband Eric Hartzell of Newmanstown; two brothers, Stephen and wife JoAnn Schaeffer of Schuylkill Haven, Todd and wife Lucinda Schaeffer of Tremont; nieces and nephews.
All Services will be held at the convenience of the family with SALM John Ziegler officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.
The H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove is in charge of arrangements.

Elizabeth A. Gnall, 92, of Buck Mountain, passed away Monday AUG 29, 2022 at Hometown Nursing Center, after a brief stay. She was the daughter of the late Victor and Anna (Preti) Flaim.
She was a 1948 graduate of Mahanoy Township High School and had been employed by City Shirt in the Garment Industry. She later became head cook at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church catering service. She loved to cook and bake for family and friends. Lizzie was always concerned about the health and welfare of her family and neighbors. She had a fantastic memory of people, places and things.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Thomas, and her 11 siblings Christine, Lena, Valentine, Anna, Albert, Victor, Alfred, Frank, John, James and Louis. She is survived by her husband of 67 years Emil, children Ann and her husband John Bushick of Jacksonville FL, Richard and his wife Nancy of Westminster MD and Gary and his wife Heather of Barnesville, and 3 grandchildren Robert, Hunter and Parker and nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. James Carroll on Friday morning at 11 AM from St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Mahanoy City. Interment will follow at Sky View Memorial park in Hometown. Friends may call at the church on Friday beginning at 9 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church 621 W. Mahanoy Ave., Mahanoy City, PA 17948 or Advance Home Health and Hospice, 1502 Route 61 South, Pottsville, PA 17901 or monetary contributions to the Missionaries of Charity and will be accepted at the visitation.
