An Ashland woman is facing assault charges after she allegedly stabbed her neighbor with a pair of scissors late Monday.
According to court documents from the Ashland Police Department, on Monday evening, police were called to the 600 block of Walnut Street for a report of a domestic.
An investigation at the scene found that a woman was decorating her front porch when a verbal argument began with her neighbor Earth Henderson, 48, over a parking spot.
A short time later, Henderson came out of her home brandishing a pair of scissors and told the victim she was going to kill her.
A physical altercation then took place between the women with Henderson making a stabbing motion at the victim.
Police were able to obtain security camera footage that showed Henderson attacking the woman with a large silver object.
The victim sustained a deep cut about 3 inches long on her forearm and a cut to her hand. EMS was called to the scene but the victim transported herself to the hospital for stitches.
Henderson was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct.
