Schuylkill League Crowns Golf Champions

On Monday, the Schuylkill League Golf Championships were held at Mountain Valley Golf Course near Mahanoy City.

Finishing their League Schedule,  North Schuylkill and Lourdes finished tied, both with 10-2 records.  The Spartans would win the Team Championship between Lourdes by 6 strokes to take the Division 1 Championship as well as the Schuylkill League Team Championship.

Mahanoy Area would finish the League schedule with a 10-0 record being declared the Division 2 champion.

  2.  Lourdes - 367
  3.  Mahanoy Area - 377
  4.  Schuylkill Haven - 384

The individual Boys Champion was Trey Spring of Lehighton who finished with a score of 78.

  2. Jeff Markosky (North Schuylkill) - 82
  3. Peter McGinely (Tamaqua) - 83
  4. Joey Feudale (Lourdes) - 83
  5. Kaleb Maksimik (Mahanoy Area) - 83

The individual Girls Champion was Brooke Powis from North Schuylkill who finished with a score of 95.

  2.  Marla Freiwald(Blue Mountain) - 100
  3.  Maddie Von Frisch (Weatherly) - 101
  4.  Katie Miller (Tamaqua) - 101
  5. Carleigh Palmier (Nativity) - 113

A special accomplishment was noted to Mark Domski of Jim Thorpe who hit a hole in one on the 4th hole.
