The Urban Memorial Scholarship fund has been awarding money to graduating students from Mahanoy Area School for the past decades.
Applicants submit their academic/financial summaries along with their own essays as to why they feel they could benefit from the scholarship grant.
These two worthy students were chosen from a group of seven fine graduating students who completed the paperwork for the chance of the scholarship.
Daniel was ranked 3 of 54, and Nicole maintained a class rank of 4th in her class; both intend to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree from Penn State University. Attorney Anthony Urban congratulated each recipient and presented them with a check from the scholarship fund.
Attorney Brian Urban wished each of them well in achieving their educational goals and all graduating seniors from Mahanoy Area the best for their futures.
