A man walked away from a crash near Mahanoy Plane on Sunday afternoon with no reported injuries.
The crash, which was originally reported near the intersection of Main Street and Powdermill Road in Girardville, occurred just outside Mahanoy Plane near the Gilberton Sewage Treatment Plant.
According to Frackville Police, a man was driving a Honda CRV west heading towards Girardville when he was suspected of having a medical problem. The vehicle swerved through a grassy area until it struck a large rock causing the vehicle to overturn.
The driver was trapped inside the vehicle, which landed on its side, until emergency personnel arrived.
The driver refused treatment at the scene.
Responding to the scene were the Rangers Hose Company and Girard Hose Company from Girardville. The Girardville Fire Police and Gilberton Fire Company provided traffic control. Also responding to assist were the Washington Ambulance from Ashland, the Ashland Police and Butler Township Police.
