On Sunday, as part of their 70th anniversary celebration, Mrs. T's Pierogies held their annual community picnic.
The community picnic is an annual tradition where the company invites the public to their plant on Herald Road for a day of free fun, food, and entertainment. This is the first year since 2019 that the event was held due to COVID-19.
The company gives out hundreds of tickets to local businesses to give out to their customers for free to attend..
While the rain kept some of the crowd away, the community still came out for some pierogy fun.
This wasn't Mrs. T's only event this week though.
On Friday, the company will celebrate the 14th Anniversary of National Pierogi Day a day early. (Pierogi Day is actually Saturday, October 8th) Mrs. T's Pierogies owner Tom Twardzik and his staff will meet at Shenandoah Borough Hall on Friday at 10:00am for the annual raising of the Mrs. T's Flag.
The public is invited to come out and enjoy the event. The first 25 to attend will receive a special Mrs. T's Pierogies gift!
