Olga Kirkauskas, 93, of Jonestown, Cass Township, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, at Tremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on April 26, 1929 in Saint Clair, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (nee Polifka) Zelinsky. She was a 1947 graduate of Saint Clair High School. She worked in the local garment industry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Kirkauskas, in 1991. The last of her family, she was also preceded by five siblings, Vera “Pat” Gibson, Mae Hanner, George “Bub” Zelinsky, Joseph Zelinsky and John Zelinsky.

Olga is survived by six children, Leo Winisko (Anna Mae), Primrose, Thomas Winisko (Jo), Centre Hall, David Winisko, Saint Clair, Mark Kirkauskas (Stephanie Devine), Lebanon, Diane Kirkauskas (Rob Wary), Seneca Falls, NY, and Nancy Kirkauskas (Ed McMullin), New Castle; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

The family will accept visitors at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury Street, Minersville, on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. Interment will be at 12:30 P.M. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

Shirley E. Scheibelhut
, 84 of Pottsville, died Monday at home.

She was born August 12, 1938 in Pottsville a daughter of the late Warren W. Sr. and Sara Thomas Mills.

She was a 1957 graduate of Pottsville High School.

She worked for Kresge’s and later Pottsville Area High School as a lunch lady prior to retiring.

Shirley was a member of 1st United Methodist Church, Pottsville.

Throughout her life Shirley was an avid Penn State and Phillies fan.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Edith Hartstein, Evelyn Bruen, Rebecca Lecher, Joseph, Robert, Warren W., Jr., David, Walter and John Mills.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years, James J. Scheibelhut, Sr.; 2 sons, James J. Scheibelhut, Jr. and his wife Kathleen, Schuylkill Haven; John Scheibelhut and his wife Laura, Pottsville; 5 grandchildren, James J. III, Katrina Wetzel, Jeremy, Kristyn Ratliff, Jerhn, 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, William Mills, Girardville; a sister, Laura Croll, Pottsville nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11AM from James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with Rev. Robert Berry officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30AM until the time of services Saturday. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Shirley be made to Dementia Society of America P O Box 600 Doylestown, PA 18901. Interment will follow in St. John No. Cemetery, Pottsville.

Susan G. Haney, 67, of Minersville, passed away Saturday, October 1st, at Lehigh Valley Health Schuylkill East, Pottsville.

Susan was born in Pottsville, Pa. on January 30, 1955, a daughter of the late Catherine C. (Weiss) and Martin J Haney. She was a active member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Minersville. Susan was a graduate of Minersville Area High School Class of 1972. She was the Office Manager at Evans Delivery employed there for 50 years. 

Susan is survived by a daughter, Kelli, wife of Timothy Leese, she is also survived by two brothers, Martin Haney and Glenn Haney as well as aunts Annice Weiss and Carol Weiss. Susan is also survived by the love of her life, her grandson, Brayden. 

All are respectfully invited to attend a visitation Friday at The Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Minersville with calling hours from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am with Regnal S. Leibensperger S.A.L.M. officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville entrusted with the arrangements.

Margaret M. “Maggie” (Hughes) Stahler
, 75, of Nazareth, formerly of Tamaqua, passed away Saturday, October 1st, at her residence with her family by her side.

Maggie was born in Summit Hill on October 10, 1946, a daughter of the late Susan (Harakal) and David Hughes.

She was the wife of Robert H. Stahler. They were married 60 years on September 29th.
She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, Tamaqua & Nazareth, .
Maggie is survived by two daughters, Lisa, wife of Jonathan Mason and Sharon, wife of Tim Maready as well as grandchildren Jason Berger and his wife, Jackie, Christopher Berger and his wife Georgianna, Alec, Aaron and Julia Mason, Alicia Cressman and her husband Craig; great grandchildren Josiah Berger, Judah Stahler and Lucy Cressman. She is also survived by two sisters, Suzanne Hughes and Janice Keller.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Amanda Mason and brothers David, Michael and William Hughes as well as sister, Mary Beth Kern.

A memorial service, both in person and via Zoom, will be held October 29, 2022 at 2:00 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2372 Yost Rd., Bath, PA 18014.

Frank "Pop" Sebastiano
, 73, left this world on October 4, 2022. He peacefully passed away at his home in Shenandoah.

Born in Union City, NJ on October 25, 1948, he was the son of the late Michael and Gladys Sebastiano.

Frank leaves behind his loving wife of 30 years, Ann and six children, Janette Zellers (Michael), Jennifer Gracia (Sammy), Victor Basso (Beth), Debra Reyes (Aldy), Michele Donovan (Joseph) and Frank Sebastiano Jr.; his grandchildren, Alexus, Victoria, Angelena, Autum, Gianna, Michael Jr., Joseph III, Cecelia, Emily, Brett, Jacob, Justin, and Jaida.

Religious services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street Shenandoah. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. A viewing will be held on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah is in care of the arrangements.
