POTTSVILLE - According to Pottsville Police, on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 8:32am, Pottsville police responded to the intersection of West Market St and N 21st St for a report of a 2-vehicle accident.

Police say a Chevrolet Traverse was traveling east in the 2100 bl of W Market St approaching N 21st St while a BMW 328i, operated by a William Korner, 53 of Pottsville was driving north on N 21st St approaching W Market St. 

The BMW failed to stop and yield the right of way to oncoming traffic pulling out into the intersection being struck by the Chevrolet Traverse. 

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. No injuries occurred because of the accident. Pottsville Fire assisted with traffic control and cleanup. 

Korner is charged with failing to stop at a stop sign.

POTTSVILLE - According to Pottsville Police, on Friday, November 25, 2022, at 11:25am, officers responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Centre and Peacock Street. 

Upon arrival officers located a Subaru Impreza, on the roadway, blocking the eastbound lane of Peacock Street, and a Hyundai Tucson, operated by Scott Fogel, 63, of Allentown, partially blocking the southbound lane of Centre Street. 

A witness stated that Fogel was traveling south on Centre Street, failed to stop for the stop sign on Centre Street before striking Subaru, which was traveling north on Centre Street turning west onto Peacock Street. 

Fogel will not be cited at the request of the operator of the other vehicle. Pottsville Bureau of Fire assisted on scene and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
