Born in Muir, February 15, 1923, a daughter of the late Arthur and Grace Lebo Barry. Ruth was a graduate of the former Tower City High School.
She was retired from Honeywell, where she was worked as a secretary.
Ruth could often be found knitting and crocheting, a hobby she took pride in. She also enjoyed golfing and participating with her bowling league. Ruth loved a good word search puzzle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Wiley and two sisters, Naomi Grimm and Ida Mae Kissinger.
Surviving are her sister, Joyce Mione; nine nieces and nephews, Barbara Grimm Stutzman, Roberta Grimm Masarik, David, Steve, and Joe Kissinger, Lou and Andy Mione, Elaine Mione Null, and Vicki Mione Koppenhaver; numerious great nieces and nephews.
Following Ruth's wishes she be laid to rest privately in the Hillside Cemetery, Abington.

William T. Gauntlett, 78, of Tremont passed away Monday, November 7, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pottsville.Born in Tremont, July 18, 1944, a son of the late William J. and Anna Carl Gauntlett. Bill was a 1964 graduate of the former Tremont High School. Following graduation from Tremont, he graduated from Trade School in Williamsport.
He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Upon his discharge from the Army, Bill began working for IBM in Kingstown, NY. He retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Public Welfare.
He is survived by a brother, Donald Gauntlett, two sisters, Judy Wagner and her husband Ernest, and Jane Boyer and her husband Steve, all of Tremont; two nieces two nephews.
Bill will be laid to rest privately with military honors in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

He grew up working in the coal mines at a young age which framed his notorious work ethic. In Peter's free time he developed a love for the outdoors. He met the love of his life in the summer of 1970, Alice Walsh. Peter's size and strength made him a standout athlete in wrestling and football. He went on to play college football and graduated from Elon University with a Bachelors degree in Physical Education. With sixty dollars in hand, he decided to chase the American Dream and move north to the Last Frontier. Peter quickly found employment in the oil and gas industry. He married Alice on July 5, 1980.
Peter is preceded in death by his mother (Mary), Father(Larry), Sister (Christine), and Brother (Tony).
He is survived by his loving wife Alice, sons Matthew (Tristan, Aurora, Austin), Christopher (Kristel, Leah, Finley, Noah), daughter Sarah (Michael), and loyal Chesapeake, Bo Raider Blue.
His strength, love, and dedication has been a testament to us all and will live on through those he loved.
Lester P. Malafarina, 77, of Frackville, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pottsville.
Born February 7, 1945, a son of the late Lester A. and Madeline Fritin Malafarina. Lester was a United States Army Veteran.
He was retired from Universal Forest Products, Gordon.
He was of the Catholic Faith.
Lester enjoyed his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He belonged to numerous motorcycle clubs. He could often be found working on his truck.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Wendy A. Bixler Malafarina; two children, Matthew Malafarina and Tammy Dietrich (Jamie), both of Frackville; two grandsons, Dominic Malafarina and Horatio Miller III; a sister, Carmella Ritchie (Will), Virginia; mother-in-law, Stella Bixler, Sacramento.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home Inc., Tower City. Burial with military honors will be held at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Viewing will be from 12-1 at the chapel.
