A man was transported to the hospital after a crash near Ashland on Wednesday evening.
Just before 10:00pm, emergency personnel from Butler Township were called to the area of Germanville Road and Tiley Road for a motor vehicle accident.
Fire personnel arrived to find a sedan that had veered off the roadway, struck a sign, and crashed into a tree.
The crash caused disabling damage to the front of the vehicle.
The driver was transported to an area hospital by Washington Ambulance with unknown injuries.
Responding to the scene were the Fountain Springs/Englewood Fire Company and Lavelle Fire Company.
State Police from Frackville were investigating.
As of 10:30pm, the roadway in the area of the crash was closed as crews waited for a tow truck.
