Schuylkill Conservation District has announced events scheduled in January and February for Sweet Arrow Lake Park in Pine Grove Township

Fly Tying Series

Join veteran fly fishermen and members of Schuylkill County Trout Unlimited at the Sweet Arrow Lake County Park clubhouse for an instructive evening aimed at the great outdoor sport of fly fishing. Whether you are experienced or just a beginner you will be sure to pick up some tips and swap some fish stories. This program will be held Thursday evenings January 5th, 12th, and 19th 6:00-8:00 p.m. All materials will be provided. The classes are free and open to the public but are limited to 25 people. Call Bruce at 570-573-7076 to pre-register. Refreshments will be available for a donation.

​Youth Small Game Hunt

Any Pa. Game Commission licensed hunter or mentored youth who harvests squirrels and rabbits on Saturday, February 25, 2023, can be brought to Sweet Arrow Lake County Park clubhouse between 3:00-4:00 p.m. Tails will be kept and each hunter keeps and utilizes the small game. Pre-registration is required. There will be 3 age classes: 12 years and under; ages 13 to 17; and ages 18 and older. Cost: under age 18 -- $10; 18 years and over -- $15. This event is made possible by the Friends of Schuylkill Parks and Recreation and the Schuylkill County Sportsman's Advisory Board.
