Born in Pottsville, PA on September 26, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Verna (Roeder) McDonald.
Joan was a graduate of Nativity B.V.M. High School, Class of 1959. She worked as a Customer Service Representative at Lehigh Valley Dairy in Schuylkill Haven. Joan was a member of the former St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Port Carbon and the St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in St. Clair. She loved being a home maker, cooking, and being with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Matthew and John McDonald.
Joan is survived by her husband of 62 years, Larry "Butch" Fredericks, Palo Alto; three daughters: Joan Stevenosky and her husband Eric, Palo Alto, Jean Quinn and her husband John, Palo Alto, and Jeanette Stenshorn and her husband Tom, Dover, PA; grandchildren: Joshua Quinn, Danielle Quinn (John Twardzik), Joshua Stephens (Faith), Alyssa Stenshorn, Nicole Stephens, and Andrew Stenshorn; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in St. Clair at 11AM on Wednesday, December 21st, with Msgn William Glosser officiating.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday 8:30-10:30AM at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home.
Interment will be held in the St. Stephen Cemetery in Port Carbon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Earl F. Miller, age 83, of Pottsville, PA passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 10th, 2022, at his home.
Born in Pottsville, PA on January 6, 1939, he was the son of the late John Elseworth and Helen (Zimmerman) Miller.
Earl served in the U.S. Army from 1957 till 1960. He worked as a crane operator for DANA Corp in Reading. Earl loved to sing and was a proud founding member of the Optimist Club in Pottsville.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family being preceded by his parents and nine siblings.

Earl is survived by his wife of 25 years, Brenda L. (Linkchorst) Miller; two sons: Michael Miller and his wife Kathy and John Miller; a daughter Reba Siluk and her husband Benjamin; a stepdaughter Rebecca Connors; a stepson Lee Connors; and six grandchildren: Patrick, Brandon, Kyle, Lucas, Fionna, and Serenity.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on December 23, 2022 at 10AM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, with Pastor Jack Murray officiating.

John Barzensky, age 67, of Port Carbon, PA passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown.
Born in Windber, PA on April 18, 1955, he was the son of the late Charles William and Anna Marie (Gerfy) Barzensky.
John was a graduate of Windber High School and then attended IUP, where he was a Brother of SIGMA CHI. JB was a Manager for 32 years with Wendy's, 10 which were in the Hamburg location. Last worked as a cook for the 3 C's Restaurant in Port Clinton.
John is survived by his wife of 45 years, Christine Ann (Schock) Barzensky; a son Jonathan Barzensky and his wife Rikki; two daughters: Catrina Garcia and Jacquelyn Dhundi and her husband Amit; grandchildren: Christopher, Isabelle, and Abigail Garcia, and Ava and Liam Barzensky; two brothers: William Barzensky and his wife Anna and Paul Barzensky and his wife Diane; niece Jordan Barzensky; and nephew Evan Barzensky.
He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Stephen P. "Shifee" Majetsky, age 67, of Trenton, died Thursday afternoon at St. Luke's Hospice House in Bethlehem.
Dolly Mae Rebuck, 74, of Tower City (Orwin) passed away very unexpectedly, Thursday December 15, 2022, at Wellspan Hospital, York, with her family by her side.
Born in Orwin, July 5, 1948, a daughter of the late Lester and Merle Adams Bettinger. Dolly was a graduate of Porter Tower High School and Empire Beauty School.
She owned and operated her own beauty salon for 54 years. Dolly was also the hairdresser at Dimon Funeral Home for the past 15 years.
She was a member of the Saint Peter's United Church of Christ, Orwin, the Orwin Fire Company Auxiliary, and was the secretary of the Orwin Park Association where she dedicated countless hours doing fundraisers. Dolly and her family camped at Slate Run, Lycoming County for over 31 years, making many friends and memories.
Not only was Dolly the true matriarch of her family, but she was also a well-known presence in her community. She will be remembered for being the most caring, giving, and thoughtful woman. Dolly would often say that her children and grandchildren were her number one accomplishment. She will be deeply missed by everyone that knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Julia Shadle.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Paul L. Rebuck; her two children, Paul L. Rebuck and his fiancee Daisy Krevis, Orwigsburg and Wendi S. Sweigert and her husband Shannon, Tower City; she was the best Nan to her six grandchildren, Cody Weik, Chastity Bohle, Travis Crider, Cameron Brown, Haylee Sweigert, and Colten Rebuck; three great grandchildren, Willa, Jay, and Masen; numerous nieces and nephews; many dear friends.
A funeral procession will leave the Dimon Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 1:30 PM to the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, where Dolly will be laid to rest at 2:30 PM.

Stephen P. "Shifee" Majetsky, age 67, of Trenton, died Thursday afternoon at St. Luke's Hospice House in Bethlehem.
Born at the former Locust Mountain Hospital he is the son of Julia (Sapar) Majetsky with whom he resided and the late Joseph Majetsky. He was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Mahanoy City and the Trenton Social Club. He retired as a manager in shipping and receiving from Wal Mart in Hazleton.
He is survived by 2 brothers Joseph of Trenton and Richard of Quakake, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Services will be privately held at a later date.
Contributions in his name to St. Luke's Hospice House, 2455 Black River Road, Bethlehem, PA 18015 would be appreciated by the family. David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City is in charge of arrangements.

Dolly Mae Rebuck, 74, of Tower City (Orwin) passed away very unexpectedly, Thursday December 15, 2022, at Wellspan Hospital, York, with her family by her side.
