Mae A. Wolfe, 92, of Pine Grove, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 in Providence Place, Pine Grove.Born on January 20, 1930 in Tremont Twp., she was a daughter of the late Edward E. and Annie Schach Strausser.
She was a 1949 graduate of Pine Grove High School.
Mae worked at the former Canoe Mfg. in Pine Grove.
She was a member of Hetzel's Lutheran Church and attended Outwood Lutheran Church.
Preceding her in death were two sons, James Wolfe and Ronald Wolfe, Sr.; two grandsons, William Bressler and Ronald Wolfe, Jr.; two brothers, William and Samuel Strausser and two sisters, Nora and Bertha Strausser.
Surviving are two sons, Edward and wife Sandra Wolfe, Richard and wife Janet Wolfe, both of Pine Grove; a daughter, Molly Souders of Lebanon; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Outwood Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.
The H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove is in charge of arrangements.

Susan J. Pleva, age 68, of Mahanoy City, passed away Sunday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill East Norwegian St. in Pottsville.
Born in Allentown she was the daughter of the late Merrill and Rose (Gallagher) Fenkner. She was a 1972 graduate of Mahanoy Area High school and had worked for ACME Markets, Mahanoy City VFW and for 20 years as a school crossing guard.
She was preceded in death by a brother William and a sister Judy Naer.. Survivors include her husband Edward J. Pleva Sr. of Mahanoy City, daughters Shannon Schaeffer of Frackville, Melissa Schaeffer of Mahanoy City, Tiara Pleva of Pottsville, a son Edward J. Pleva Jr. of Tower City, grandchildren Kate Miersky and Nolan and Ryan Khrehel.
Services will be announced at a later date by David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City.

Thomas M. Hartsell, 55, of Tamaqua, grew up in Waterford, and was formerly of Corry and Palmerton, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, in his home.
He was employed as a heavy equipment operator with Kay Builders, Inc., Allentown.
Born in Burbank, California, he was the son of the late Leslie S. and Connie L. (Reynolds) Hartsell. He was a member of the Union United Church of Christ, Neffs. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his four-wheeler, camping, and going to off road events.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Hartsell, and a nephew.
Surviving is a daughter, Greta Hartsell, of Philadelphia; brother, Kurt Hartsell, of Telford; four sisters, Terri Hartsell, wife of Rex Bassett, of Vista, California, Stephanie Hartsell, of Warminster, Susie Hartsell, of Jamison, and Melanie, wife of Tom Eckhardt, of Trumbauersville; long-time companion, Tamilee Haaf, of Tamaqua; and four nieces.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to American Diabetes Association, Attn: Service Center, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
Arrangements are being handled by the Hartman Funeral Home, 1791 West Penn Pike, Rte. 309, New Ringgold.
Sarah Elizabeth Horsfield, 31 of Connecticut and formerly of Lavelle passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Hartfield Hospital in Connecticut.
Born in Lebanon on March 15, 1991, she was the daughter of Albert and Mary Ann (Gruber) Horsfield who survive.
She was a graduate of Mt. Carmel Area High School and Penn State University where she received a degree in psychology.
Sarah was married in Hartford, Connecticut to Rattanak Seng who survives.
Sarah enjoyed working with autistic children. She was an avid reader, loved animals and enjoyed crafting.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by two sisters, Erica Rooney of Tyler, Texas and Nicole Horsfield and her fiancé Joe Swaggerty of Easton; one nephew, Jeremy; maternal grandmother, Betty Gruber of Bainbridge; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral arrangements will be announced in the future. Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born in Ashland, he was a son of the late Henry and Rosemary Hancock Holmes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers: John Holmes and Henry Holmes Jr.
George was a member of the Good Fellowship Club, Ashland.
He is survived by his son George Holmes Jr. and his wife Jenny, Ashland; his daughter, Tasha McCabe and her husband Justin. Frackville; his siblings: Bob Holmes, Ashland; Will Holmes, Ashland; Steve Holmes, Pottsville; Joe Holmes, Pottsville; Dave Holmes, Ashland; Donna Weikel, Ashland; Rose Holmes, Pottsville; he is also survived by his grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be announced.
