Donna Ryder
, 67, of Mahanoy City, passed away Friday, December 23rd, at her residence.

Donna was born in Philadelphia, pa on March 5, 1955, a daughter of the late Rosemarie (Sincavage) and Ralph Milillo.

She graduated from St. Maria Goretti High School, Philadelphia and graduated nursing school in Maryland, where she worked at Carroll County Hospital in Westminster MD.

She was an owner of 123 Café in Mahanoy City.

She loved to Crochet, binge watching TV, gamble, arts and crafts. She lived for her sisters and nieces and loved to cook at the 123 Cafe which she owned with her sisters. She also loved to shop with her daughter.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Jacque Ryder, of Dunmore; three sisters, Lisa Milillo, of Mahanoy City; Marlene, Wife of John Fatula, of Mahanoy City; Christine Lawrence, of Mahanoy City; two brothers, Michael, husband of Victoria, of Schuylkill Haven; Ralph, husband of Marsha, of Tamaqua; 7 nieces Jennifer, Miranda, Madeline, Sara, Megan, Gabrielle, Amber.

She is preceded in death by her former husband Robert Ryder.

Friends and family may call Thursday 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.

Interment private at convenience of the Family.

Raydelle C. Coller, 90, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Tuesday, December 20th, at her residence.

Born in Pottsville on December 18, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Hannah (Doretta) Loy and Raymond Loy.

She was the widow of Edward Coller.

Raydelle was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School and was employed by Alberta Knitting Mills.

She was a loving Mother and Grandmother that enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and playing card games.

Raydelle is survived by her grandson Jedidiah Coller, of Schuylkill Haven, her sister Marilyn Eckert, her nephews Andrew Eckert and Edwin Bowe, and her nieces Cheryl Reed and Connie Billy.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son Richard Coller and sister June Bowe.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Donna Marie Albitz, 58, of North Manheim Township, passed away Tuesday, December 20th, at home surrounded by her family.

Born in Pottsville on November 5, 1964, she was a daughter of Judith (Updegrove) Seaman, of Minersville, and the late Earl Weir.

She was the loving wife of Kenneth W. Albitz; and devoted mother of twins, Coltin & Caitlyn Albitz.

Donna was a graduate of Minersville High School, and Penn State University.

She was currently employed by Blue Mountain School District as a paraprofessional.

In addition to her mother, husband, and children, Donna is also survived by a sister, Christine, wife of Steve Sullivan, two brothers: Michael Weir, husband of Christy, and Robert Weir, husband of Valerie, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty & Kenneth Albitz, and nieces & nephews.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 28th at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven with Deacon Jack Quirk officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be private.

Thomas James Deno, 76, of Tremont, PA and formerly of Tamaqua, PA, died on Friday, December 23, 2022, in Pottsville, PA. 

Born on May 22, 1946, in Wilkes Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (Beynon) Deno. A 1965 high school graduate, Thomas served in the Marines during the Vietnam War. He was employed at the Cressona Aluminum Plant prior to his retirement. Thomas was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Tamaqua and the Tamaqua American Legion and a past member of the Italian Club in Tamaqua. 

He is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters; a stepsister, Joan Zaffary; and caregiver, Patricia M. Rarick. Services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua with Pastor Debra Forney officiating. Interment in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown, PA will follow the services. Call 10-11 AM on Thursday at the funeral home. 

Memorials in Thomas’s name may be made to First United Methodist Church, 124 West Broad Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252. 

Arrangements are being handled by the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Tamaqua.

Joseph A. Muredda, 100, formerly of Girardville, passed away on December 24, at The Gardens at York Terrace.

Surviving are a sister, Rita Simononis, several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Fountain Springs Cemetery.

Katherine L Reinhart, 58, of Pottsville, passed away on December 22, at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest, Allentown.

The family will announce a memorial service.

Services have been entrusted to Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Pottsville.

Carol A. Grabuskie
, 83, Pocono Lake, passed away on Wednesday evening, December 21st at PAM Specialty Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Frackville, she was a daughter of the late George and Zelma Brosius Shuey. She worked for Acme of Pennsylvania as a meat wrapper and later for Alpha Beta as a meat cutter until her retirement.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Frackville and also the Red Hat Society.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Grabuskie Jr., and two sisters: Doris Kostishak and Jean Sleva.

Carol is survived by her two sons: Joseph and his wife Jeanna Grabuskie, North Carolina; George Grabuskie, Pocono Lake; her two daughters: Karin Grabuskie, Pocono Lake and Shane Campbell, Pottsville; her sister Janet Dean, Frackville; her grandchildren: Georden, Mikayla, Kristine, Joseph, Elizabeth, Holden and John; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 31st at 10 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church (Annunciation BVM Church), 33 S. Broad Mountain Ave. Frackville with Pastor Carl Shankweiler. Friends are invited to her visitation at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.

Nancy F (Hatzel) Bonomo
, age 80, of Pitman, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on Tuesday, October 27, 1942, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Clarence and Ferne Hatzel.

She was the co owner of Pitman Motors.

Nancy loved animals, gardening, and camping.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her life partner, Alvin C Heim.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Birster of Horsham and Devorah "Denise" Bonomo of Pitman; ; two sons, Donald Bonomo, Jr of Shamokin and Daniel Bonomo of Leeland, NC; two grandsons, Wayne Birster, Jr, and Stanley Bonomo; two granddaughters, Vanessa Birster and Shannon Bonomo; seven great grandchildren, Brian, Jenna, Bella, Jackson, David, Matthew, and Shelby; a great great grandson, Greyson; a sister, Diane Finlan and her husband Jack of Pitman; several nieces, and nephews; and long time employee and dear friends, Carl Witmer and his wife Renee.

Funeral services will be held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Inc, Valley View, on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating.

A viewing will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.

John "Jake" Onisick
, 83 of Shenandoah, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on December 24th at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community.

Born on June 19th, 1939, he was the son of the late Peter and Lillian (Whalen) Onisick.

At age 19, he served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. He then worked for many years at the Puralator plant in Pattersonville.

He was a self-employed, lifelong mechanic, working over 30 years at his garage in Turkey Run. He worked briefly as a bus mechanic and retired as a bus driver for Shenandoah Valley.

He was a former Fire Marshall for the Defender Hose Fire Company in Turkey Run.

Jake was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Notre Dame fan. Making several trips to South Bend, earlier in his life, to cheer on the "Fighting Irish". He had a love of cars and also raced at the Numida Raceway in Columbia County.

His family and friends will forever remember his love of a good time, dancing, telling jokes, and his famous "Irish toast".

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jody (nee Onisick) Paulukonis and granddaughter Krystal Lombardo.

Surviving are two sons, John "Jake" Onisick and his wife Michelle, Ringtown and James Onisick, Frackville, a daughter Joyce Stanton and her companion Ron Bogden. 3 brothers, Joseph Onisick, Catawissa, Peter "Babe" Onisick and wife Betty, Levittown, and Robert Onisick, Catawissa.

Eight grandchildren, Desiree Dunleavy and husband William, Jessica Navitsky and husband Jeffery, Sarah Frey and husband Anthony, Amanda Onisick and Joseph Backo, John Onisick and wife Jillian, Jennifer Onisick and Stephen Quinn, James Onisick and Thomas Stanton. 6 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters along with several nieces and nephews also survive.

A visitation for family and friends will take place on Thursday, December 29th from 8:30 to 10:30am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah. Scripture services will be held at 10:30am by Msgr. Ronald Bocian. Burial will immediately follow in the Annunciation BVM Cemetery, Shenandoah.

Contributions Jake’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
