John T. Manley, Sr., 60, of Robin Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at home.
Born on December 1, 1961, in Philadelphia, he was a son of Margaret Kurtz Manley and the late Robert Manley, Jr.
John had been a heavy equipment operator and most recently was a caregiver for his son.
Preceding him in death was a son, Joshua Manley.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife of 40 years, Teresa Seehousen Manley; three sons, John T. Manley, Jr., Jason Manley, and Jayme Manley, all of Pine Grove; two grandchildren, Jaxson and Faith Manley; a brother, Robert Manley, III of Pine Grove; and a sister, Theresa Hendrickson of Levittown.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 5:00 P.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc. Pine Grove with Pastor Barry Spatz officiating. There will be a viewing on Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. until 05:00 PM at the Funeral Home, Inc.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA, 18 Wertz Rd., Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in his memory.
Ona R. Shartle, 56, of Mountain Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022 in the MS Hershey Medical Center.
Born July 5, 1966 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Ernest H. and Naomi R. Zerbe Bretz.
Ona was a 1984 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School and worked for Post Precision for more than 30 years in Strausstown, PA.
Ona was a talented artist who created beautiful pieces in several different mediums. She made jewelry, designed and decorated cakes, sewed masks and enjoyed drawing and writing. Her greatest loves were her dogs Pumpkin and Thor. You would never see Ona without Pumpkin by her side. Ona's greatest joy in life was seeing their puppies bring love to other families.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Lorna Mae Bretz.
Surviving are her husband of 29 years, Todd Shartle; her two dogs, Pumpkin and Thor; two brothers, Franklin and wife Carol Bretz of Pine Grove, Melvin and wife Cathy Bretz of Hegins; two sisters, Zora and husband Wendell Fabian of Wexford, Cora and husband John Shenk of Pine Grove; nieces, nephews and two sisters by choice, Laura Valeriano and Kerri Schultz.
Services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Hetzel's Cemetery, Pine Grove.

Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late George and Helen Barrett Harding. She had been employed as a CNA at the former Ashland Hospital and later at Mount Carmel Nursing Home.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Eileen Noskoviak, Teresa Startzel Houtz, Catherine Harding and William Robert Williams.
Helen is survived by her husband of 48 years, Patrick J. McCabe Sr., two sons; Patrick McCabe Jr., and his wife Sara of Frackville and Brian McCabe, Gordon; her daughter, Angela DeAngelo, Ashland; two brothers: James Harding, Danville and Charles Harding, Ashland, two sisters; Georgine Salvado, NJ and Barb Mcgurl, Ashland; seven grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 7th from Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville at a time to be announced.

Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Friday, December 2, 2022, at St. Luke's University Hospital Bethlehem, Pennsylvania after a courageous battle against Glioblastoma cancer.
Born Monday, October 22, 1956 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania the son of the late Leonard A., Zoba Sr., and Martha Eva (Wychulis) Zoba.
Surviving are; his beloved wife of 29 years, Kimberly A. (Augustine) Zoba; daughters whom he adored; Sarah Z. Morles wife of Eugenio of Easton, Hannah L. Zoba and her fiancé Bradley Fedor of Tamaqua; sister, Suzanne Z. Yuschock wife of the late John of Palm Coast, FL. Many cousins also survive Lenny.
A 1974 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, Lenny worked construction as a member of Laborer’s Local 1174 where he worked as a Laborer, served on the Executive Board, and last held the title of Business Manager. Lenny was a member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua. Like his father before him, volunteered as a member of the Tamaqua Fire Police, and South Ward Fire Company. Lenny was an avid fan of the Las Vegas Raiders; however, admired Tom Brady's "The G.O.A.T." distinguished career. An animal lover, Lenny enjoyed the companionship of his dog Gracie, and cat Bella.

She was born on Friday, January 14, 1938, in Spring Glen, a daughter of the late Ralph Kessler and the late Elda (Hoover) Kessler.
She was a graduate of the former Hubley Twp High School.
Ruth was a waitress at the former Jack's Restaurant, Valley View, and the former Peoples Choice Restaurant, Hegins, and then was a presser at the former Tri-Valley Cleaners,Valley View, prior to her retirement.
She was a member of Pine Creek United Methodist Church, Spring Glen.
Ruth loved her animals and listening to country music.
Her husband, Robert G Wedde, passed away in 1985. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and by a brother, Russell E Kessler.
She is survived by a daughter, Velvet R Wedde of Valley View; a son, Scott R Wedde and his companion Lisa Harner of Valley View; a brother, Fred S Kessler of Valley View; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There will be no services.
Burial will be in St. Mark's Cemetery, Spring Glen.
