Born on August 10, 1935, in Minersville, he was the son of the late Harold and Helen (nee Brown) Stumpp. He began his education in Cass Township schools, graduating from Minersville High School in 1953. He was initially employed at the former Rothermel Dairy before joining the Army. Upon discharge, he worked for Van Heusen, where he would meet his future wife. He went on to work for Exxon Chemical, from where he retired. A Pottsville resident for 54 years, he also enjoyed taking part-time work in the city, including the Pottsville Library, service as Crossing Guard at Norwegian and George Streets, and as Custodian at United Presbyterian Church.
He was a member of St. Patrick Church, Pottsville. He was also a volunteer driver for Meals On Wheels. He and his wife were dedicated animal lovers, especially cats, including their adopted felines, Oreo and Bright Eyes. Those who knew him well won’t forget that he was a spirited fan of Notre Dame football.
Preceding him in death was his wife of 58 years, the former Elizabeth “Betsy” Burnett, in 2020; a sister, Nancy Thornburg; his niece, Robin Thornburg.
Mick is survived by two daughters, Jeanie Lynn (spouse, Bob), Pottsville, and Kelly Brown (spouse, Harry), Coatesville, Indiana; 9 grandchildren, Daneen McDonald (spouse, Gene), Vicki Svrcek (spouse, Jason), Jeremiah Lynn, Josh Lynn, Jessica Lynn, Kelsie Lynn, Neva Brown, Laurel Brown and Celeste Brown; three great-grandchildren, Miranda Seiger, Kieran Bush, and Isaac Seiger. He is also survived by two nephews, Robert Thornburg, and Rick Thornburg (spouse, Mel), with whom he enjoyed a great relationship.
The family will accept visitors at St. Patrick Church, 319 Mahantongo Street, Pottsville, on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. Visitation will end promptly at 11:45 A.M. in preparation for services. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hillside SPCA or The Wounded Warrior Project. Dutcavich Funeral Home has charge.

Born in Shenandoah on June 24, 1929, he was a son of the late Stanley Jankaitis, Sr. and the late Laura (Stadalnick) Jankaitis.
He was a graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah and attended the McCann School of Business, Mahanoy City.
Mr. Jankaitis was a decorated Army veteran having served his country in the Korean War. He received the Korean Service Medal with four bronze service stars, the United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
Adie was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah and the former St. George Church. He was a life member of the Defender Hose Company, Turkey Run and was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his wife, the former Anna M. Zarcufsky on November 16, 2019; three sisters, Laura Yackabonis, Joann Busila and Blanche Mazack; three brothers, Victor, Alphonsus and Stanley Jankaitis. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving are his nephew and caregiver, Richard Mazack of Gilberton; additional nephews, nieces and their families also survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 9:30 am at Divine Mercy Church, 232 West Cherry Street, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow at 11:30 am at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. A visitation will be held on Monday morning from 8:00 am until 9:15 am at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah.

Born in Pottsville, PA on December 12, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Umbenhauer) Fisher.
Nancy was a graduate of Soldier's Memorial High School, Class of 1952 in Port Carbon.
She was the last member of her immediate family being preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 37 years, Kenneth L. Roeder, Sr on September 23, 2004 and sisters: Mary Elizabeth Flail, Lois Jansky, Norma Matz, Florence Goetz, Bonita Malice, and Dallas Greene.
Nancy is survived by her sons: Kenneth L. Roeder, Kenosha, WI and William Shugars and his wife Tammy, Pottsville; her daughters Cindy Rodenbough and her husband Barry, Nazareth and Deborah (Drasher) Dock, Lewisburg; and nieces and nephews.
A Religious Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon at 11:30AM on Thursday, December 8th, with Pastor Lois Sterling officiating.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday morning from 10:30-11:30AM at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be held in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.

Born in Shenandoah on August 29, 1934, he was the son of the late Joseph J. Wallace, Sr. and the late Helen (Harun) Wallace.
He was a 1952 graduate of the former Shenandoah Catholic High School and received a certificate in advertising and marketing from Penn State University.
Mr. Wallace was a decorated Army veteran having served his country in the Korean War. He received the National Defense Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the Korean Service Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal.
Joe retired as the publisher of the former Shenandoah Evening Herald.
On November 15, 1958 in the former St. George Church, Shenandoah, he married the former Joan M. Valetske who survives.
He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah and the former St. George Church, the A.P. Damato Medal of Honor Post #792, Shenandoah, and the Commanders Club of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Joe was a life member the Shenandoah Heights Fire Company. He was also an active member of the Greater Shenandoah Area Senior Citizens where he formerly served as Sergeant at Arms.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his sister, Theresa Wojcik.
Surviving in addition to his wife of sixty-four years, Joan M. Wallace are his son, Joseph S. Wallace of Hazleton; two daughters, Susan Whitehair of White Haven and Lynn Gallo and her husband Joseph of Mahanoy City; five grandchildren, Ty, Brielle, Joel, Kaitlyn and John Joseph; one great-granddaughter, Olivia; nieces, nephews with their families and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 10:00 am in Divine Mercy Church, 232 West Cherry Street, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. A visitation will be held on Friday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am in Divine Mercy Church.

Born in Pottsville, April 17, 2002, a beloved son of Kevin and Amber Kimmel Witmer, with whom he resided.
Justin was a 2020 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School where he played on the football and basketball teams. He was also a member of the FFA.
He was a heavy equipment operator at Natural Soil Products, Good Spring.
He was an avid outdoorsman, who could often be found hunting, fishing, and camping. He had a great passion for dirt track racing. Justin also was a coach for the Little Cardinals Football Team. Above all, his family meant the world to him. He will be remembered as a great son, a loving grandson, and the best big brother to his sisters.
Justin was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald Witmer.
In addition to his parents, Justin is survived by his three younger sisters, Hailey, Kylie, and Mea Witmer, all at home; maternal grandparents, Lori Reightler Kimmel and her companion Franklin Brommer, Donaldson, and Charles Kimmel and his wife Lisa, Tremont; paternal grandmother, Kathy Leffler Witmer, Tower City; his aunt/godmother, Amy Kimmel and her companion Caleb Brommer; his uncle/godfather, Charles Kimmel Jr. and his companion Evelyn Snavely; aunt Kelly Witmer; uncle Daryl Witmer and his wife Julie; 7 cousins, Kaiden and Landon Pyle, Ryland Kimmel, Zackary and Mackenzie Kahler, Chase Witmer, and Victoria Starnowski; many dear friends.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 5:00 pm from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City with Pastor Amanda Bressler officiating. Viewing will be from 3-5 in the chapel.
Donations can be made to the Dimon Funeral Home, 644 E Grand Avenue, Tower City, PA 17980 to help with expenses.
