A fire late Tuesday afternoon heavily damaged Quandel Concrete in Cass Township.
Just after 4:30pm, emergency personnel were called to Quandel Concrete in the area of Field Road and Schaeffer Hill Road, in Cass Township, just outside Minersville for a working commercial structure fire.
Fire crews arrived to find one of the main wooden structures of the facility fully engulfed in flames. It's unclear what the function of that building was at this time.
Firefighters battled the flames for over 2 hours before bringing the blaze under control. The fire brought in apparatus from all around Schuylkill County.
One of the firefighters was injured during the incident but was treated at the scene.
Just after 7:00pm, the first apparatus cleared the scene by and by 8:30pm, all fire apparatus had cleared.
