One person was transported after a two-vehicle crash near Shenandoah.
At 8:06pm, Saturday, emergency personnel were called to the intersection of Route 924(Gold Star Highway) and the entrance to the Gold Star Plaza for a motor vehicle accident with injuries.
The crash involved a minivan that T-boned the passenger side of a Honda Pilot that was making a left into the plaza.
According to Fire Chief Rick Examitas and Shenandoah Police Officer Marvin Livergood, a passenger in the front seat of the minivan suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. The fire department also cut the door off to get the victim out of the vehicle.
The drivers and other passengers refused treatment. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage.
The Shenandoah Fire Department provided cleanup at the scene as well as traffic control.
Traffic heading towards Frackville was closed while the scene was cleared.
All fire apparatus cleared the scene just before 9:00pm.
