Pottsville Man Locked Up in Schuylkill County Prison After Assaulting City Police Officer
A Pottsville man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after assaulting a city police officer on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, January 24th, 2023, around 9:00am, a Pottsville City Police Officer had an encounter with a male at the intersections of North Centre Street and Laurel Boulevard.
The male was identified as Clint Parks, age 57, of Pottsville.
During the encounter, Parks, struck the uniformed officer in the face with a closed fist. The officer deployed his Taser that had no effect on Parks, however, additional officers arrived and assisted with taking Parks into custody.
Clint Parks was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Reiley for one count each of Aggravated Assault (F2), Simple Assault (M2), Resisting Arrest (M2) and Harassment (S).

Judge Reiley remanded Parks to the Schuylkill County Prison on $20,000 straight cash bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 30th, 2023 before Judge Reiley.
