He was born on October 6, 1950 in Ashland the son of the late Martha (Hutnick) and Aloysius J. Burns Sr.
Al was the husband of Debrah A. (Stoker) Burns, they have been married over 44 years.
He was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish-Ashland.
Al was a graduate of North Schuylkill High School class of 1969.
He worked for PennDot as a laborer for over 35 years prior to retirement.
Al enjoyed computers, going out to dinner and spending time with family. He loved his animals especially his late dogs Lady, Daisey, and Cinnamon.
In addition to his wife he is survived by; son Aloysius “AJ” J. Burns III (Kim Harner), Ashland; sister Anna Spieles (Fred), Ashland; sister Barbara Burns, Ashland; grandchildren Aloysius IV & Sadie-Mea; brother in law Richard Stoker (Gail Zerby), Longview Terrace; nephews Mark & Jody Spieles, Harrisburg; great nieces Mackenzie & Emily Spieles; beloved dog Zoey.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 21st from 10-11 AM at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday at the funeral home at 11AM with Rev. Giuseppe C. Esposito officiating. Interment with will be private at the family’s request.

Michael V. Quercia, Sr., age 86, of Port Carbon, PA passed away Monday, January 16th, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown.
Born in Pottsville, Pa. on January 19, 1936, he was the son of the late Sabitino and Josephine (Tranquillo) Quercia.
Michael served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 till 1960. He worked as a Parts Manager at Furnival Machinery Company New Philadelphia for 20 years and then as a maintenance supervisor for the St. Clair Area School District for 12 years before retiring. Michael was a member of the Oldtimers Baseball Association in St. Clair, a charter member of the St. Clair Lions Club, a former committeeman for East Norwegian Township, and a member of the American Numismatic Association.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Carol Nettles, two brothers: Joseph and Alfred Quercia, and a sister Lena Shamonsky.
Michael is survived by his wife of 65 years Barbara (Myro) Quercia, Port Carbon; a daughter Judy M. Quercia, St. Clair; two sons: Michael Quercia Jr. and his wife Terry, Port Carbon and Richard Quercia and his wife Lisa, Frackville; son-in-law David Nettles, Port Carbon; six grandchildren: Jessica, Dustin, Amanda, Kory, David, and Alexis; eight great-grandchildren: Holly, Jayde, Alyvia, Austin, Nova, Khaleesi, Missandei, and Kenny; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held private for Michael's family.
The Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home in Port Carbon is in charge of arrangements.

Phyllis was born on January 4, 1939 in Pottsville, a daughter of the late Francis E. and Theresa (Postick) Stabinsky.
She was a graduate of the first graduating class at Nativity BVM, Class of 1956 and attended Holy Family College. Phyllis worked as a switchboard operator for the Southern Bell Telephone Company in Florida before moving back to Pennsylvania.
Phyllis was a member of St. Patrick R.C.C., Pottsville.
She devoted her life to caring for her family, pets, and friends and was loved and cherished beyond words. She was compassionate, kind, selfless, and an inspiration every day with her strength, beauty, and grace.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Stabinsky Schroder; brother, John "Jack" Stabinsky; and pets: Maggie, Bo, Bailey, Harry, Franco, and Lil' Man.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 63 years, Devlin W. Dormer, Jr.; daughters, Angelique M. Dormer, of New York City; Maria T. Dormer, of Frederick, Maryland; Christine A. Dormer and her husband, Christopher R. McQuillen, of Pottsville; and Jacqueline D. Dormer, of Pottsville; pets: Fluffy, Freddie, Tiny, Yogi, and Lucy
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 20th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 319 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, with Father Phil Rodgers officiating.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the church.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Born on June 23, 1946 in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Abram and Lena Moyer Brandt.
He was an SP4 in the United States Army.
Mark worked in Construction and worked for Superior 3 Construction for the last 20 years.
He was a life member of the Pine Grove Fish and Game and the American Legion Post 910.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, Earl Brandt and Arthur Brandt; and two sisters, Verna Brandt and Arlene Brandt.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Patricia Spitler Brandt; a son, Matt and wife Wendy Brandt; a daughter, Nicole Brandt and companion Gary Brown; three grandchildren, Mackenzie Keating, Garrett Brandt and Emma Brandt, all of Pine Grove; three brothers, Abram and wife Margaret Brandt of Hershey, Raymond Brandt of Palmyra, Lloyd and wife Lori Brandt of Lebanon; four sisters, Erma and husband John Kline of Annville, Beth and husband Ronald Weihrauch of Lebanon, Lucy and husband Robert Kreider of Lebanon, Marty and husband Jerry Uhrich of Palmyra; nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services and interment will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville with Pastor Barry Spatz officiating. A procession will leave the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove promptly at 9:15 A.M. Anyone wishing to follow in the procession should be at the Funeral Home by 9:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Pine Grove Fish and Game Protective Association, P.O. Box 27, Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in his memory.

Michael Lee Janney, 76 years of age, of West White Bear Drive Summit Hill, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Orwigsburg Center.
Born Monday, August 12, 1946 in La Junta, Colorado the son of the late Elwood Aber, and Virginia May (Akins) Janney. Michael was also predeceased by; son, Shane Janney.
Surviving are; his wife of 30 years, Paula M. (Babriecki) Janney; daughters, Alecia Janney, Kristina Litzenberger; sons, Ryan Janney; step children, Elisa and Joseph Domingues; 10 grandchildren
Michael served honorably in the Army / Air Force during the Vietnam War, and retired as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer attached to the I.R.S. Michael earned his degree in criminology from the University of Maryland.

Born Saturday, July 7, 1934 in Coaldale, the daughter of the late John, and Mary (Toman) Tomes. Elizabeth was also predeceased by; husband, Adam Mario Tenisci; sister, Mary Urban; brother, Emil Cebo; son-in-law, William D. Dunkelberger.
Surviving are; daughters, Mary Farber and her husband Daniel of Tamaqua, Annette Tenisci of Coaldale; son, Joseph Tenisci and his wife Courtney of Coaldale; grand children, Dan, Joel, Sophia, and Emilia; great grandchild, Autumn.
A graduate of the former Coaldale High School, Elizabeth had worked in the Textile Industry. She was an active member of the former SS. Cyril & Methodius R.C.C. of Coaldale, and currently was a member of St. Joseph's R.C.C. of The Panther Valley. Elizabeth enjoyed bowling, nature and time spent with her family.

Born in Pine Grove, July 14, 1951, a son of the late Stanley Sr. and Anna Mae Herring. He was a graduate of Pine Grove High School.
Stanley retired from Guilford Mills, Pine Grove in 2013 after 42 years of service.
He enjoyed fishing and taking trips with his wife Lisa, especially to Winchester, Virginia. He was an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants and recently checked an item off his bucket list when his son took him to a game.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Fessler Herring, 2004, and a sister, Lena Lehman.
Surviving are his wife, Lisa S. Carl Herring; his son, whom he was extremely proud of, Nathan D. Herring and his wife Katharina, Germany; a stepson, James Rodgers Sr., and his companion, Kaitlyn Brommer, Pine Grove; step grandchildren, Skylar and James Jr., Rodgers; a sister, Arlene Klinger and her husband Larry, Pine Grove; a brother, Ernest Herring and his wife Becca, Panama City Beach, Florida; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Muir. Visitation will be from 10-11 am at the chapel.
