George J. Bergalis, 79 years of age, of Sewall’s Point, Florida passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023.
He was born November 9, 1943 in McAdoo, Pennsylvania to Bernard, and Helen (Lazur) Bergalis. George lived in Still Creek and graduated from Tamaqua High School and Bloomsburg University. He served honorably in the United States Army as a Sharpshooter and was stationed in Japan.
In 1967, George married Anna Kristin Cathcart. They moved to Fort Pierce, Florida in 1978 to enjoy the Florida sunshine and warm weather and raise their beautiful daughters.
George enjoyed being an active member of his local and business community. He was the Finance Director for the City of Fort Pierce, Florida for nearly forty years and served on numerous committees and boards. During his years of retirement, George’s favorite pastime was evenings at the family home in Sewall’s Point overlooking the Indian River while playing ball by the pool with his beloved dogs. He enjoyed his weekly lunches with his lifelong friends and former co-workers from his days in local government. George and Anna Kristin travelled often to Key West where he could relax and appreciate being outdoors. George enjoyed traveling and attending University of Florida Gator games and was a Gator Booster for several decades. The Gators have a new cheerleader in Heaven.
Goerge is survived by wife of 56 years, Anna Kristin (Cathcart) Bergalis; daughter, Allison Mary Tringas (the late Travis Tringas); granddaughters, Parker Athena Tringas, Preslee Paris Tringas, Annabella Alyene Becnel, Evangeline Elaire Blossman; great grandson, Aster Mars Tringas; and sister Andrea Trexler along with his nephews and nieces.
George was predeceased by his previous daughters, Kimberly Ann Bergalis and Sondra Ann Bergalis and son-in-law J. Travis Tringas.

Helen C. Beach (Thomas), 90, formally of Minersville & Pine Grove passed away peacefully taken by her Angels on January 28, 2023, at Rosewood Nursing & Rehabilitation, Schuylkill Haven, with her Son Russell Beach & Daughter in Law Sharon by her side as she listened to Daughter Cindy & Son Mark express their Love.
Born March 21, 1932, the daughter of Daniel & Catherine Thomas.
Helen had a strong, courageous will. She fought Alzheimer’s and Breast Cancer for 4 years. Known as being very pleasant even during the most difficult times. “Enjoy Life” was her saying. “It’s way too short.”
She had a large collection of Angels in which she strongly believed. Enjoyed Camping for 30+ years with Husband and Family at Dressler’s Campsites along the Susquehanna River and attending Nascar Races and trips in the Motor Home. Jimmie Johnson was her Nascar Hero whom she witnessed win a Championship. She enjoyed Dancing, Bingo, Casino’s, Shopping trips and Polish Cooking.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband the late Russell C. Beach. January 31 would have been 70 Years. She was the last member of her immediate Family. Brothers, Harold, Daniel, James, Joseph, Sisters, Mary and Sylvia, all predecease her.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Seiders, Bradenton, FL. wife of George with whom she lived with and was cared for 14 joyous years prior her illness. She is also survived by her four sons, Russell J., husband to Sharon of Branchdale, Carl of Llewellyn, Mark husband to Judy of Jacksonville FL, and Thomas husband to Cathy of Minersville, 6 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren.
Services will be held Privately at the convenience of the Family, Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven, PA. is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaretta (Rollman) Ryan.
She was a member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo.
Prior to retiring, she was employed at the former Bucilla Corp. Jacqueline was also a skilled seamstress and continued to sew and craft after her retirement.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and will be sadly missed by all.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her first husband Robert Zeiler; and brothers James and Joseph Ryan.
Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Stanley Karmosky; daughter Rebecca Zeiler Wintle and husband Robert, Somers, NY; son Robert Zeiler and wife Tracey, McAdoo; grandchildren, Maggie Zeiler, and twins, Ellis and Violet Wintle; sister Kathleen Kraft and husband Lester, Allentown; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Damiano Funeral Home Inc., McAdoo. The Rev. Msgr. William Baker will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial in Church of All Saints, McAdoo, at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
