Joyce A. Hereshko, 83, Mahanoy Plane, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 6th at Shenandoah Senior Living Community.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home Inc., Frackville.
Joseph B. Bluge, 93, Frackville passed away peacefully on January 4, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital -Cedar Crest.
Born in Coal Township, he was a son of the late Bernard and Anna (Hudock) Bluge. Joseph served in the Marines from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean Conflict as part of the largest peace time allied maneuvers with NATO Forces in Europe. He started his manufacturing career at Arrow Shirt in Shamokin and retired from Eagle Shirtmakers in Mahanoy City as General Manager.
Joseph was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus #2580, Frackville and a life member of the Good Will Hose Company, Frackville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years Eleanor and a brother Lawrence.
Joseph is survived by his children, daughter, Kathleen Lett and her husband William, Frackville; son, Joseph A. Bluge and his wife Linda, Frackville; his grandchildren: Andrew Lett (Gretchen), Matthew Lett (Anna), Joseph and Kyle Bluge; great-grandchildren Erika, Jakob, Alex, Justin and Adelynn; sisters-in-law Patricia Willis (Frank) and Theresa Egick, nieces and nephews.
He will always be remembered for his guidance during the annual pierogi making at the holidays and family gatherings.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on January 17th from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville with Reverend Giuseppe C. Esposito officiating. Friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday morning at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family at a later date.

William J. Steiner, Sr., 77 years of age of North Lehigh Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at St. Luke's University Hospital Bethlehem surrounded by his family.
Born Monday, March 5, 1945 in Ashland, the son of the late William H., and Julia (Barry) Steiner.
Surviving are; his beloved wife of 39 years, Patricia A. "Patty" (Moyer) Steiner; son, William J. "Bill" Steiner II and his wife Jordan E.; daughters, Jennifer J. Babb wife of Byron, Heather Lynn Steiner; grandchildren, Jacob, and Isaac Marchetti who affectionately called him Pappy; sisters, Geraldine Rusin, Mary "Tillie" Koval.
A 1963 graduate of Mahanoy City High School, Bill worked for over 30 years as an electrician for The Hershey Company in Humbolt Industrial Park. A member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua, Bill was an avid Penn State Football fan. In his free time, He had a passion for seeing his Nittany Lions play in countless stadiums across the country. Bill loved to travel, especially to Southwest Florida with his brother-in-law, Robert Chapman Sr. He was a history buff and car enthusiast. Bill enjoyed taking his white 77’ corvette to local car shows with Patty. In his younger years, Bill was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bill was most often associated with the watch on his wrist and the smile on his face. His contagious laugh and kind heart will be greatly missed by many.

A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John XXIII R.C.C. Tamaqua Pennsylvania.
Private Interment will be in St. Jerome R.C.C. Cemetery, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.

Janet B.E. Barnhardt, 87, of Tower City, passed away Friday morning, January 6, 2023 at Heritage Mills Personal Care Home.
Born in Pillow, January 12, 1935, a daughter of the late Clarence and Stella Weist Lenker. Janet was a 1952 graduate of the former Elizabethville High School.
She was retired from the Williams Valley School District where she worked in the cafeteria. Janet also worked as a banquet server for the former Shop-N-Play and Kevin's Place restaurants, a job she enjoyed and took great pride in.
She was of the Lutheran Faith. She devoted her life to her family whom she was extremely proud of. For the past 7 years she resided with her daughter Valerie and became very fond of family pets,Bailey and Zoey. When not working, Janet could be found cooking or selling tickets at Williams Valley Sporting events.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mark L. Barnhardt, 1984, a brother Gerald Lenker, and a sister, June Riland.
Surviving are her four children, Barbara J. Leshko, Tower City, Mark S. Barnhardt, Mechanicsburg, Valerie P. Doyle and her husband Terry, Carsonville, and Jennifer L. Maurer and her husband Dave, Valley View. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Rebekah, Abraham, Aubrey, Austin, Toby, Tanner, Janelle and Tate, as well as twelve great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Viewing will be from 10-11 at the chapel.
