Shenandoah Police released information about a dog attack that occurred Monday evening.
According to a post by the department on Facebook, on Monday evening, around 9:30pm, police were dispatched to a report of shots fired in the area of Jardin and Oak Streets.
An investigation revealed that an "unsupervised, roaming dog" attack a female that was walking her dog.
During the attack, a neighbor fired a gun at the roaming dog. The dog was injured and transported to an emergency animal hospital.
The incident is still under investigation.
Borough Police say the incident was isolated and there is no threat to the public.
