The suspect that was wanted in a homicide in Luzerne County has bene taken into custody.
According to Pennsylvania State Police Public Information Officer for Troop N, Trooper Anthony Petroski III, on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023, around 7:00pm, Troopers responded to 1290 Woodhaven Driver, in Foster Township, Luzerne County for a report of a female gunshot victim.
An investigation revealed that the victim, Jessica Romano, 35, was shot by her boyfriend, Scott Andrew Oliver, 30, inside their home on Woodhaven Drive.
Oliver fled into a nearby wooded area after the shooting.
Romano was transported by EMS to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Hazleton were she later died.
The State Police at Hazleton obtained an arrest warrant for Oliver for the charge of criminal homicide.
On Wednesday afternoon, around 2:00pm, Members of the State Police from Hazleton were canvassing the area near the crime scene and located Oliver in an unoccupied home and taken into custody without incident.
He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Daniel O'Donnel and locked up in Luzerne County Prison. Judge O'Donnell denied bail.News,
