A Brandonville man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after law enforcement raided his home Tuesday morning.
On February 7, 2023, members of the Pennsylvania State Police and Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office, Drug Task Force conducted a joint investigation which resulted in the execution of a Court Authorized Search and Seizure Warrant on a residence located within Union Township, Schuylkill County.
Seized during the search of the residence were substantial items of contraband, including but not limited to, the following:
- In excess of three hundred grams (300 g) of fentanyl with an estimated street value in excess of thirty-six thousand dollars (valued at $36,000.00)
- In excess of thirty-five grams (35 g) of cocaine with an estimated street value in excess of four thousand dollars (valued at $4,000.00)
- Nine hundred dollars ($900.00) in United States Currency
As a result of the aforementioned seizure, Michael Edward Kohlhepp, 42, of Brandonville, was charged with violations of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act and Pennsylvania Crimes Code as follows:
- Possession With the Intent to Deliver (fentanyl)
- Possession With the Intent to Deliver (cocaine)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (fentanyl)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (cocaine)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Kohlhepp was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Anthony J. Kilker, Shenandoah, who set bail at $100,000.00, straight cash. He was subsequently remanded to the Schuylkill County Prison.
In addition to the above charges, Kohlhepp was also taken into custody 3 active arrest warrants, 2 issued in Schuylkill County and 1 issued in Luzerne County.
