A Pottsville man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison for selling various drugs out of his home.
According to Pottsville Police, on Thursday, February 9th, 2023, Pottsville City Police, State Police and the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force executed an early morning search warrant at residence in the 500 block of E. Market Street, in the city.
The warrant was granted by District Justice David Plachko, in regard to an on-going narcotic investigation conducted by the city Drug Investigation Unit and the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force.
Investigators learned that Samad Harrington, 29, of Pottsville was actively selling controlled substances, out of the residence.
Upon execution of the warrant, Mr. Harrington was taken into custody at the residence. During the search, officers recovered quantities of crack-cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone, morphine, and marijuana along with scales, cell phones, US currency and packaging materials.
Mr. Harrington was charged by city police with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 2 counts of Misbranding of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was arraigned by Judge James Reiley and remanded to the Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $40,000.00 cash bail.
