A Frackville man remains locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after an assault during a domestic dispute earlier this month.
According to court documents, Frackville Police Officer Anthony Kankowski was called to the 500 block of West Oak Street for a domestic assault on February 3rd, 2023, around 3:15pm.
The call was reported by the mother of the victim that her daughter was being assaulted by Jeffrey Huben, 31, who had already fled the home.
Through an investigation, Officer Kankowski learned from the victim as well as witnesses that a verbal altercation between the victim and Huben had occurred and turned physical. During the altercation, Huben had put his hands around the victim's neck and fled when family arrived at the home.
Officer Kankowski filed charges against Huben for strangulation, unlawful restrain, simple assault, and harassment and an arrest warrant was issued.
On February 11th, 2023, Huben was taken into custody by Mount Carmel Police during a traffic stop.
He was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Kilker and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $15,000 straight cash bail. Huben was also under State Parole.
