According to Pottsville Police, on Tuesday February 28, 2023, just before 1:30am, the Pottsville Bureau of Police and Fire Department was dispatched to a report of an accident, where a vehicle had gone off the highway in the area of Gordon Nagle Trail and Indian Run Reservoir Road.
Officers located the vehicle, a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta operated by Joshua Yoder, 21, of Schuylkill Haven.
During the investigation it was found that Yoder had been driving too fast for conditions, which consisted while negotiating a curve, causing the vehicle to slide off the roadway and hit a ditch, causing disabling damage. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Pottsville Fire Department assisted at the scene which consisted of shutting down Gordon Nagle Trail in the area of the crash. Yoder will be cited for driving too fast for conditions.
