Richard W. (Wes) Naus, 61, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday February 4th, at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown.

Wes was born in Holyoke, Mass on February 28, 1961, a son of Patricia A. (Vitelli) and Rollin "Mike" Naus, of Schuylkill Haven.

He was the husband of Robyn (Frickert) Naus to whom he was married 32 years.

He last worked at Carpenter Technology Reading PA

Wes was an avid pool player and golfer and excelled at both. He played with numerous pool leagues in the area.He was a member of the East Ward Social Club Schuylkill Haven and other organizations.

Wes is survived by two sons Tyler Naus, of Schuylkill Haven; Jacob Naus, of Phoenixville; also survived by a sister, Lisa Bott, of Schuylkill Haven, a brother, Michael, husband of Sheila Naus, of Schuylkill Haven.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held 12 noon on Friday, February 10th at Landingville Fire Company in Landingville, with Rev. Kevin Fructl officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 to time of services.

The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions to American Heart Association 968 Postal Road, Suite 110 Allentown, PA 18109.

Richard C. Gaffney
, 84, of Orwigsburg, passed away Friday February 10th, at Orwigsburg Center.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, December 22, 1938, he was the son of the late Frank and Eleanor Gaffney of New York. He was the husband of Libby Meck Gaffney.

He was an active member of St Ambrose Church, Schuylkill Haven. He served on the Orwigsburg Borough Council for five years and he served in the New York State Army National Guard for three years.

Richard had a B.S. degree from Queens College, New York and attended courses at St John’s University and CCNY. Prior to its shutdown, he was the Human Resource Manager and Productivity Manager for Atlas Powder Company, Tamaqua. He then created his own Management Consulting business and taught classes at Penn State, Schuylkill, Reading and Allentown and served as an adjunct faculty at Cedar Crest College, Allentown.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Marion, Warsaw NY, and brother, Frank, Venice, Florida. Surviving in addition to his wife are children Lisa, wife of Kyle Roth, Brookhaven, Pa; Father Brian Gaffney of Orwigsburg, Jennifer, wife of Ira Walton, Orwigsburg, and Michele, wife of Jeffery Gilbert, Kennett Square, Pa; five grandchildren and his loving dog, Mazie.

In addition to his strong faith, he was a member of a small prayer group for over 30 years. His favorite past times were bird watching, shell collecting, and reading Russian novels. He enjoyed traveling in Europe and Russia and the USA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, February 14th at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Schuylkill Haven, with Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik officiating. Visitation will be from 9:15 to 10:15 in the church chapel. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church Memorial Fund 201 Randel Street Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.

Kenneth Reiff
, 99, of the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, formerly of Red Dale Road, Orwigsburg, died Wednesday, February 8th.

Kenneth was born in Souderton, PA on May 27, 1923, a son of the late Clarissa R. (Reed) and Clarence D. Reiff.

He was the widower of Doris E. (Albright) Reiff.

He was a 1942 Graduate of Lansdale High School, now known by North Penn High School.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp in WW II as a tailgunner on a B-24 Liberator Bomber.
He was employed as a Sales Manager at the Lehigh Valley Dairies, Schuylkill Haven. Ken also worked for Martin Century Farms in Lansdale. In 1964 they were bought out by Lehigh Valley Dairy and he moved to Schuylkill County. He retired in 1989.

Ken was a member of MacCalla Lodge # 596, F. & A. M. Souderton and Scottish Rite Consistory, Valley of Allentown.

Kenneth is survived by three daughters, Kathleen, wife of John Gaskins, Barbara, wife of Michael Barner, Patricia, wife of Edward Kahler, and his cat Buddy.

He is also survived by his Grandchildren Andy, Michael, Lyndsey, Mandy, Kristy, Elodie, Ian, Alex and seven Great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Doris, Kenneth was preceded in death by his son K. Scott Reiff; sister, Mildred Anderson, and Brother C. Russell Reiff.

A Celebration of Life Service, with Military Honors, will be held Saturday, March 11th at 1:00 PM at Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg. Visitation, with family members present, will begin at Noon.
