Born Friday, January 28, 1944 in Kingston, Pennsylvania the son of the late John, and Elizabeth (Panco) Tomchick. Sam was also predeceased by; beloved wife, Cathryn (Eldridge) Tomchick; brother, Jack Tomchick.
Surviving are; sons, Andrew Tomchick, Jason S. Tomchick of Tamaqua with whom he resided; sisters, Barbara Hughes, Elizabeth Jones and her companion Richard Favinger.
Sam was a 1961 graduate of Edwardsville High School, and served honorably in the United States Army. Sam last worked for Cardinal Health after working at Penn Steel for a number of years. An avid Philadelphia sports enthusiast, Sam enjoyed the companionship of his dogs.

Anne Marie "Mitzie" Walsh, age 87, of Pottsville, PA passed away Wednesday, February 22nd, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill, East, Pottsville
Born in New Philadelphia, PA on March 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Blischok) Harvilla.
Anne Marie was a graduate of Blythe Twp. High School, Class of 1953 and she was a member of the former St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Port Carbon.
She was the last member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years, Joseph E. Walsh on May 11, 2021, sisters: Julia Barto and Eleanor Fudali, and brothers: Stephen, John, and Joseph Harvilla.
Anne Marie is survived by daughter Eileen Morgan, Glenolden, PA; daughter Anne Marie Weller and her husband Thomas, Schoentown, PA; daughter Kathleen Wigoda and her husband Richard, St. Clair, PA; son Joseph E. Walsh III and his wife Grace, Kingsland, GA; daughter Colleen Sullivan and her husband Timothy, Palo Alto, PA; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Mom was the center and heart of our family. She answered to many names but her favorite was Nana (Nanzo, Winter, Mommy’s Nanny, White hair Nan and Nana Clause). She loved to brag about her grand and great-grandbabies to anyone who would listen. Mom was a great listener too…always welcoming, accepting and praying for those in need. Her prayer list was endless, She enjoyed bowling, “Fat Club”, bus trips, cruises, reading and HGTV.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, Port Carbon on Thursday, March 2nd at 11AM, with Rev. Edward Connolly officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with family from 9:30-11 am at the church.
Interment will be held in the St. Stephen Cemetery, Port Carbon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Anne Marie to the Society of St. Stephen P.O. Box 104 Port Carbon, PA 17965.

Born in Schoentown, PA on April 28, 1929, he was the son of the late Stephen and Kathryn (Kritak) Steranko.
Francis was a graduate of Port Carbon Soldier's Memorial High School, Class of 1947. He served in the U.S. Army from June 14, 1947 till December 13, 1948. Francis worked as pipefitter for Local Union 524 in Scranton and then worked at ALCOA in Cressona until retiring. He was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Saint Clair.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Veronica Mary (Wojciechowski) Steranko on October 27, 2021 and a brother Raymond Steranko.
Francis is survived by his two daughters: Jean Felix and her husband Andrew, Ashland and Carol Kaunas and her husband Robert, Schnecksville; his grandson Kurtis Kaunas; and his granddaughter Kiera Kaunas; two sisters: Joan Subulak, Schoentown and Laverne Marx, Exton.
Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Saint Clair at 10AM on Friday, March 3rd, with Rev. James Carroll officiating.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday evening from 6-8PM, with a Parastas Service beginning at 7PM and Friday morning from 8:30-9:30AM at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon.
Interment with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday March 7th at 12:30PM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.

Born Monday, October 30,1927 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania. The son of the late John J., and Catherine (Billig) McHugh. Francis was also predeceased by; his beloved wife, Dorothy Grace (Osenbach) McHugh on Sept. 12, 2011; brother, John McHugh.
Surviving are; sons, Rodney R. McHugh and his wife Karen with whom he resided, Rick F. McHugh and his wife Julie, Randy S. McHugh and his wife Sharon all of New Ringgold; sister in law Dolly McHugh of Summit Hill. 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A 1945 graduate of the former Summit Hill High School, Francis was a standout athlete, captaining both his high school basketball and baseball team. Francis played in the semi-pro Panther Valley Baseball league for many years. Francis served honorably in the United States Army. A Union Bricklayer by trade, Francis was a member of Zion Stone Church of West Penn Township. He was a devoted dad, and proud grandparent attending his grandchildren's many school, and athletic events. He will be greatly missed.
