Moss says she is an enthusiastic and positive person who serves her community with endless energy and is qualified and experienced, and pledges to bring strong and fair leadership to Schuylkill County.
Moss was the program director for the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) of the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce, where she recruited students from school districts, STC, Scouts BSA, 4-H, and the County Fair to provide hands-on experience for starting a business. Moss says that training programs such as YEA! help build the workforce Schuylkill County needs for economic growth.
Born and raised in Wayne Township and Lake Wynonah, she earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University and a fellowship in Educational Policy and Leadership in Harrisburg. She worked at AT&T/Lucent as a Senior Product Engineer and was a supervisor of manufacturing and testing operations. She served for over 20 years on various boards including the Schuylkill Technology Center (STC), IU29, and Blue Mountain School District. She served on the boards of Schuylkill Women in Crisis, PTO, the Walk In Art Center, Victims Witness Advisory Board, and was an advocate for Agriculture, Science, Technology and Math (AgSTEM) at Blue Mountain. She is currently a board member of Hamburg EMS and is chairwoman of the Schuylkill County Zoning Hearing Board.
Moss says she has a consistent record of fighting for taxpayers and is especially concerned about senior citizens and veterans. She said she realizes that we face significant challenges with inflation, wages, blight and property reassessment. She also says she is committed to improving the quality of life through economic development and by protecting land and natural resources.
“Schuylkill County is a hidden gem where family values and a strong work-ethic have always been our strengths. As Commissioner I will work hard to serve this great county so we can move forward together. I ask for your vote on May 16.” said Moss.
