Margaret C. Stevenson, 93, of Orwigsburg, passed away Friday, March10th, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Margaret was born in Pottsville, PA on July 13, 1929, a daughter of the late Margaret (Pitts) and Carmen DeSanti.
She was preceded in death by her first husband William Joseph Pfeil also by her second husband Russell Stevenson, a daughter Beth Connelly and brothers Carmen, John and Joseph.
She was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
She was a private duty caregiver with Schuylkill Nursing Association.
Margaret is survived by two daughters, Lisa McGovern, of Orwigsburg, PA; Michele Covelusky, of Deer Lake; a son, Dennis Pfeil, husband of Emma, of Pine Grove. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Jessica McGovern, Joseph Connelly, Angelia Hamm, Daniel Pfeil, Jarrod Ulsh, Bradley Ulsh, Wesley Ulsh, Keith Pfeil, Gregory McGovern, 16 Great Grandchildren, brother Francis Desanti husband of Liz, Arizona
Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the convenience of the family and celebrated at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Schuylkill Haven, PA with Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik officiating.
Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park.

George was born in Pottsville, PA on June 17, 1935, the son of the late Anna (Workun) and George Shellick.
He graduated from Minersville High School Class of 1953 as valedictorian; served as President and Vice President during three years; attended New York University and served in the US Army.
He then worked as a draftsman and became a signalman at Conrail. He had membership in the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalman Local 26.
George was enthusiastic about sports - starred as a three sport athlete at Minersville High School (football, basketball and baseball); was a ski instructor on Sharp Mountain in Pottsville; played tennis; and was an avid swimmer and bicyclist into his later years.
He supported all Minersville High sporting events, traveling with friends to Penn State and Hershey to support teams as they won State championships.
George is survived by two sisters; Barbara Horan, of Olney MD, Amelia Davis, of Rockville, MD, and several nieces, nephews, grand nephews and a grand niece.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 14th with visitation from 10:30 AM until the time of service at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc in Schuylkill Haven, PA.
Interment at St. Peter and Paul Byzantine Cemetery, PA.
Born September 23, 1942 in Newport, New Hampshire the son of the late Frank, and Bertha (Rowell) Winter.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 54 years, Miriam (Mras) Winter; brother, Tim Winter and his wife Jane, his sister Ellie Demijohn and her husband Ron.
Warren was a graduate of Towle High School in Newport New Hampshire, and University of New Hampshire class of 1964. He served honorably in the United States Air Force. Warren retired from the city of Salem, New Hampshire having worked as a building inspector. Warren was a volunteer for Horses and Horizons in New Ringgold. His favorite activities were Golfing and Dancing

Frances Theresa Mitten, 73, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Allentown. Born at home in Ashland, July 14, 1949, she was the daughter of the late George and Cecelia Pitts Shivelhood. She graduated from the North Schuylkill High School, Ashland, class of 1967, and the McCann School of Business, Mahanoy City, class of 1968. Fran had been employed in the office of the Phillips Van Heusen Company, Pottsville, and subsequently for 17 years in the North Schuylkill High School Cafeteria, Fountain Springs, until her retirement. She was a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Parish, and the Martha Washington Ladies Auxiliary of the Washington Fire Company, both of Ashland. Fran loved knitting, crocheting, and attending activities in which her grandchildren participated. She was an avid fan of all North Schuylkill sporting teams, the North Schuylkill Band, and all the North Schuylkill Plays. Preceding her in death were sisters Louise Wetzel and Nancy Roche, Triplet sons, Matthew, Mark, and John, and a grandson Ian Houser.

Fran was a devoted grandmother to Nevaida Rau, Evan Houser, Cecelia Rau, Maycee Place, and Norah Place, all of Gordon.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 11 AM in the Saint Charles Borromeo Parish Church, 11th and Walnut Streets, Ashland. Celebrating Mass will be Rev. Giuseppe Esposito, pastor. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Viewing in the church will begin at 9 AM until service. She was the daughter of Bob and Pam Snyder.
Raquel was a 1994 graduate of North Schuylkill School District, and a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in psychology.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister Renee’ Reeder and her husband Dave Reeder of Ashland, and a brother Ryan Snyder and his wife Samantha Snyder, Enola, a nephew Benjamin Snyder, and niece’s Elisabeth Snyder, and Lanya and Melia Reeder.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

DoraMae was born in Bloomsburg, on November 16, 1932, a daughter of the late David and Mary (Young) VanHorn.
She was a graduate of Bloomsburg high school and was retired, having been employed by Milco Industries in Bloomsburg, and then last employed at Dixon Wearever in Orwigsburg.
She was a member of Community Church of Christ in Bloomsburg, where she served as Sunday School secretary for many years. DoraMae was also an avid football fan and enjoyed watching the games.
In addition to her parents, DoraMae was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy VanHorn and by brothers, Donald, Roland and Earl VanHorn.
She is survived by two brothers, Robert VanHorn, and his wife Linda of Orwigsburg, and Bernard VanHorn and his wife Diane, of Bloomsburg. A sister in law, Joyce VanHorn of Bloomsburg also survives along with and extended family of many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, March 31st at 11 AM in the Community of Christ Church, 750 Market Street, Bloomsburg, PA. Visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of the service.
DoraMae will be laid to rest immediately following the service at the Rosemont Cemetery, Old Berwick Road, Espy.

Evelyn C. Marcello, 81, of McAdoo, and formerly of Quakertown, passed away Saturday at St. Luke’s Hospital, Upper Bucks Campus.
Born in Sellersville, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Arlene (Sine) Lokay.
Prior to retiring, Evelyn was employed at Milford Enterprises of Quakertown.
She was a member of Faith U.C.C., Hazleton.
Evelyn was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and will be sadly missed by all.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband Paul Marcello, and brothers Frank and Stanley Sine.
Surviving are her son Lawrence Dull Jr. and wife Mary Ann of McAdoo; grandchildren Nicole Smith, Brandon, Katrina and Jennifer Dull, and David Feeney; great-grandchildren Emma, Carter, Colton, and Bohdan; sisters Janice Afflerbach, Rosann Bucior, Dolly Oltman, and Betty Foley; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
