Faye L. Seiger, 88, of Tremont, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 in the Tremont Health & Rehab Center.
Born on December 2, 1934 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late James and Alma Zimmerman Butler.
She was a graduate of Tremont High School.
Faye was a member of the Pine Grove Wesleyan Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Harold E. Seiger, Sr.; a daughter, Darlene A. Herring; a brother, Michael Butler, and a sister, Janice Vance.
Surviving are a daughter Susan and husband David Schaeffer of Tremont; four sons, Harold "Rocky" and wife Cheryl Seiger, Greg "Pep" and wife Carisa Seiger, both of Tremont, Richard and wife Jackie Seiger of Minersville, Wayne Seiger, Sr. of Donaldson; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove, with Pastors Earl and Kitty Hertzog officiating. There will be a viewing on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Pine Grove Wesleyan Church, 74 Bethel Rd., Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in her memory.
Charles C. McElhenny, 96, Frackville passed away peacefully on Friday, March 17th at Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.
Born in Morea, he was a son of the late Cornelius and Mary Hawk McElhenny. Charles was a United States Army veteran having served during World War II. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, the American Legion Post 398 and the Elks BPOE 1533, all of Frackville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers William and John McElhenny.
Charles is survived by his cousin and caretaker, Lisa Paletskie of Morea along with numerous cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 21st at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Parish (St. Ann’s Church) 49 N. Line Street, Frackville with Rev. Giuseppe Esposito, pastor, as the celebrant. Friends are invited to his viewing at the church on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of mass. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Canicus Cemetery, Mahanoy City.Charles C. Matthew J. Moyer, 51 of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at home while in the loving care of his devoted wife, Donna Lee (Folweiler) Moyer, who tragically passed away on Thursday March 16, 2023.
Born Monday, August 30, 1971 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, Matt was the son of the late Irvin F. Schoener and Shirley (Gilbert) Moyer. He was also predeceased by a brother, Glenn C. Schoener.
Matt attended Tamaqua Area High School and was employed by Tamaqua Transfer. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Church, South Ward Fire Company, and Quakake Fire Co. Matt enjoyed camping with his family, and collecting trains. And spending time with all his grandchildren.
Matt is survived by dear friends Dale and Wendy Fredericks who took Matt into their home and treated him as a son; sons, Joseph J. Hartranft and his fianceé, Christina Bauder, David H. Hartranft and his companion, Sasha Roof; former daughter in law, Kayla Hartranft and, her fiancé Robert Martin, brothers, Robert Schoener and his wife, Leslie, Michael Moyer, Dale John Fredericks and Robert Fredericks; sisters, Dawn Kunkel and her husband, Dave and Becky Hartranft.; grandchildren, Lena, Chloe, William, JoAnna,Liam,Nickolas, Taylor, Harley, Jeremiah. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family also survive Matt.

Philip H. Frieling, 72, of Hegins, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at home.
He was born on November 7, 1950, in Lykens, PA, a son of the late Herman and Frieda (Coleman) Frieling.
Philip was a graduate of Tri Valley Class of 1969, and a 1973 Graduate of Penn State with a degree in Animal Science. He was a member of the PA Pork Producers and the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. Philip was also a member of Member of St. Paul's UCC, Sacramento.
He farmed with his family raising hogs and with his wife raising Black Angus cows and calves, a Cattle Farmer at heart he also was an equipment operator for Penn Dot .
Philip is survived by wife Dorothy (Sultzbaugh) Frieling, to whom he was married for 37 years.
He is also survived by a step daughter, Bethany Schadel, and spouse Lehman Mann; step son, Jason Schadel and wife Allison; two step Grandchildren, Emmaline Schadel, Gwenevere Schadel; three sisters, Mary Dunkleberger of Hegins, Susan Snyder and husband Rick of CA, Ruth Harner and husband Tom of Lykens, PA; two brothers, Kenneth Frieling of Hegins, David Frieling of Millersburg; .

Ruby Faye Leitzel, age 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Mount Carmel Nursing Home Saturday March 18th, 2023. She was born in Hegins November 28th, 1930 a daughter of the late Robert F. Fetterolf and Edna A. Keim Fetterolf as well as a sister to the late Marlin E. “Red” Fetterolf and infant brother Robert Fetterolf.
Born on December 2, 1934 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late James and Alma Zimmerman Butler.

She was married to the late John A Leitzel who preceded in her death February 4th, 1995. They were wed in Hagerstown Maryland on December 8th 1951.
From then on she was a life long resident of Gratz. She graduated from Hegins Township High School class of 1948 as well as Empire beauty school. She worked as a beautician out of her home for many years where she enjoyed serving and socializing with her many friends and members of her community. In January of 1958 she welcomed her only child, a son Robert J. Leitzel. Ruby was a member of Simeon United Lutheran Church of Gratz. While she was at home she enjoyed attending the Millersburg Centers “Peppy Class”, weekly church service, various church functions, the Great Gratz Fair, as well as spending time with her grandchildren.
Those surviving include, a sister in law Jean Fetterolf, Hegins, daughter in law Cathy Leitzel, Hegins, grandson Cory V. Leitzel Camara (Nicole) of Georgia, granddaughter Nikki A. Snyder (Alexander) of Barry Twp, and two great grandchildren Solomon A. Snyder and Shiloh R. Snyder, Barry Twp, beloved nephews Robert Fetterolf (Debra), Mechanicsburg, and Kevin Fetterolf (Kelsey), Hegins, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, many beloved aunts and uncles, two brothers, and a son.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mount Carmel Nursing Home for their love and care of Ruby over the last 4 years. She had joy, laughter, and comfort in her last few years because of the dedicated and kind staff.
Services will be held at 11am Thursday March 23, at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a viewing from 10am until the time of service.
Ruby will be laid to rest at the Union Cemetery, Gratz.

Arlene Smith, 83, of Fountain Road, Hegins, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023 at Leigh Valley Schuylkill Hospital, Pottsville .
She was born on March 24, 1939, a daughter of the late Pearl Fairburn.
She was a graduate of the former Porter Township High School.
Arlene was a secretary most of her life, working at the Tri Valley Pharmacy, and retired as a Payroll Clerk for the VA Hospital, Lebanon.
She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Fountain.
Arlene was also a member of Red Hat Society, and recently started attending the Tri Valley Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by husband, James R. Smith, in 1972, and a son, Jeffrey A. Smith, 1980.
Arlene is survived by a son, Randy Smith of Shamokin; daughter, Audrey Parnell of AK; granddaughters, Julie Smith and companion Jeremy Strausser, Angie and wife Sarah Smith; two additional grandchildren as well as two Great-Grandchildren, Hayley Kirby, Nick Kirby

Jerry T. McGeehan, 80, of Mahoning Valley, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023, in his home. He was the husband of Mariann (Taras) McGeehan.
They were married on September 28, 1963 and celebrated 59 years of marriage. Prior to retiring, he was employed with UPS for 37 years as a delivery driver in the Palmerton area. Born in Coaldale, he was the son of the late James and Blodwyn (Betz) McGeehan.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Mariann, are two sons, Jerry P., of New Wilmington, and Michael S., of Maryland; ten grandchildren, Ryan, Jenna, Cooper, Chase, Chloe, Cade, Charlotte, Connor, Crystal, and Cody; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
Arrangements are being handled by the Hartman Funeral Home, 1791 West Penn Pike, Rte. 309, New Ringgold.
