Born in Palmerton, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Menconi) DaPrato. Joe was also predeceased by; his wife of 48 years Mary Christine (Kopla) DaPrato on December 4, 2022.
Joe was a 1959 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School Joe also attended MMI Preparatory School in Freeland, Penn State's Hazleton Campus, and King's College in Wilkes Barre. He received an Associate Degree in Drafting.
He faithfully and honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Receiving basic training at Fort Dix, NJ, the Military Police in Fort Jackson, MS and Fort Gordon, GA. Earning the rank of S.P.4 while serving three years in Vietnam. (MP 716 MP Combat Company A 1964-1965)
Joe worked in his family-owned business, the East End Market from its opening in 1948. He became Manager and Business Owner in 1974 along with his wife, Christine until he permanently retired in 2014.
Joe was a member of St. John XX III Roman Catholic Church in Tamaqua, and a member of the Tamaqua Elks Lodge #592 for many years. Joe was also a lifelong member of the East End Fire Company.
He and his wife, Christine loved to travel, taking many special trips together. Joe enjoyed walking and could be found tending his gardens of which he was very proud.
Joe was the last surviving member of his immediate family and is survived by a cousin, Linda Indelicato and her husband Giovanni of Lafox, IL and her extended family.

Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery Bloomingdale Pennsylvania.

Violet J. "Cookie" Pillsbury, 71, of Sweet Arrow Lake Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023 at home surrounded by family and friends.
Born on April 29, 1951 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Geraldine F. Bensinger Riegle.
She worked for Moen in Pine Grove for 15 years and retired from Hydro after 28 years. She was such a dedicated and great worker that upon her retirement, they named a machine after her (Cookie).
She was and will always be known as a loving, caring, and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and great friend to many. She loved going to Delaware to see family, go to the beach, boardwalk and relax in the sun. In her earlier years, she loved bowling and playing golf with her late husband. She was a die hard Philadelphia Eagles fan.
She will be missed by many but her memories will live on in everyone she touched.
Preceding her in death were her husband Charles "Chuck" Ayers Pillsbury, Jr.; her grandmother Violet Brown Bensinger, a grandson, Marco Burgur; a step grandson Brandon Daubert; and a niece and nephew.
Surviving are a son William Koenig and his partner Nicole Pardue of Kempton; a daughter and her caregiver, Michelle Long Daubert and husband Lynn of Pine Grove; two grandsons, Joseph Long and Nathan Long, both of Pine Grove; a granddaughter, Sara Koenig and her partner Holden Britt of Mississippi; great grandchildren; her Delaware family,which includes her sister, Patsy Greene and two nieces, Toni and husband Jarrod Ulsh and Wendi Raber; aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove. There will be a visitation on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 139 S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in her memory.

Tina M. Donati, 51, of Palo Alto, formerly of Pine Grove, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill East.
Born on August 21, 1971 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Darlene Fessler Wendling.
She was a 1990 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School and a member of Hetzel's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove.
Tina had worked at Tukes in Pine Grove and the Comfort Inn in Pine Grove.
She loved reading and unicorns.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 26 years, Joseph Donati on Jan. 31, 2022; and two sons, Jacob Michael Donati and Zachary Donati.
Surviving are a daughter Adrienne Donati and her companion Eric Curran of Palo Alto; a grandson, Dante Charles Curran; a sister Christie and husband Robert Ditzler of Tremont; three half sisters, Rickann Heiser, Patty Gerber and Missy Schartel; a niece and nephew, Bobbi Jo Lettich and Austin Ditzler; great niece and nephews, Krystal Jo Lettich, Jayden Ditzler and Jameson Lettich; two aunts, Diane and husband Richard Sock of Auburn, Nancy Bachert of Pine Grove, and many cousins.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
