A Delano woman woke up in the middle of the night to find her ex-husband standing over her this past weekend.
According to court documents filed by the Pennsylvania State Police from Frackville, on Saturday, March 18th, 2023, around 12:45am, Troopers responded to a home on Railroad Street in Delano Township for a report of a woman's ex-husband breaking into her home.
Troopers spoke with the female victim that reported that while she was sleeping with her current husband and their child in their bedrooms, she woke up to find a male standing over her, who then hit her in the head with a wooden object.
While the woman blacked out, her husband began to wrestle with the male in the bedroom, eventually chasing him out of the home, and leaving the scene.
The woman later identified the male as her ex-husband, Alexander Williams, 37, of Pottsville, based on recordings from Ring cameras around the home. Through that footage, Police were able to learn that Williams entered the home through a rear door, while someone else, that couldn't be identified, waited outside.
State Police issued a warrant for Williams arrest where he was taken into custody later on Saturday.
He was arraigned before on-call Magisterial District Judge David J. Rossi on multiple charges of burglary, aggravated assault, making terroristic threats, conspiracy to commit burglary, and recklessly endangering the welfare of another person.
Williams was transported to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $75,000 straight cash bail.
He is scheduled to appear or a Preliminary Hearing before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli on March 29th, 2023.
