The Pennsylvania State Police have provided an update to a drug bust we reported on last week in St. Clair and East Norwegian Township.
On Friday, February 24th, 2023, members of the Pennsylvania State Police and Schuylkill County District Attorney's Office, Drug Task Force conducted a joint investigation which resulted in the execution of two Court-Authorized Search and Seizure Warrants on locations within the Borough of St. Clair and East Norwegian Township.
Seized during the search of the residences were a substantial of contraband including:
- $16,840 in United State Currency
- Approximately 1,350 grams of suspected marijuana with an estimated street value over $8,000
- Approximately 145 grams of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value over $14,000
- Approximately 13 lbs. of methamphetamine with an estimated street value over $310,000
- Four firearms
During the searches, Joanne Stefanie Noble, 45, of St. Clair was taken into custody as a result of 2 active arrest warrants.
Troopers report that on Tuesday, February 28th, 2023, charges were filed for the drug bust which included:
- 3 counts felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance
- 3 counts felony possession of a firearm when prohibited
- 4 counts misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance
- 2 counts misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia
Noble was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge David Plachko and remains locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $100,000 straight cash bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled before Judge Plachko on March 21st, 2023.
The investigation was part of a larger, on-going narcotics trafficking investigation being conducted by the Schuylkill County District Attorney's Office, Drug Task Force, and the Pennsylvania State Police. The investigation is still continuing.
