The driver of a vehicle had to be rescued after wrecking their vehicle Wednesday morning in Foster Township.
The incident occurred around 10:45am, on Route 901 in Foster Township, near the Township Building, when the driver of a Nissan sedan, heading south, veered off the roadway and into a ditch. With the driver entrapped inside, the engine caught fire.
Just after the crash occurring, three good Samaritans were passing through and stopped to help.

Weikel said with the help of a truck driver, and a DEP officer, they were able to cut the driver's seatbelt and pull him from the burning vehicle. They were also able to keep the fire contained to the are of the vehicle until fire personnel arrived.
Minersville Fire and EMS responded to the scene along with State Police.
