On Saturday morning, the Frackville Little League held an opening day parade and ceremony to kick off their 2023 season.
The festivities began at the Arch Street Park where players and parents gathered.
The parade, led by Frackville Police and the Good Will Fire Company, followed Arch Street to Nice Street, then Nice Street to the field. Englewood and Altamont Fire Companies also took part in the parade.
At the field, prior to the start of the ceremony, the youngest teams took part in an Easter Egg Hunt.
Following the egg hunt, players and coaches were announced by emcee Jason Hutira.
The organization also recognized their 1995 and 2007 teams that won the District 24 championship.
Jake Damiter, a member of the 2007 teams threw out the first pitch followed by the National Anthem being sung by Kalli Smith, of Gordon.
