The Simpson United Methodist Church continued a Good Friday tradition of Jesus Christ's Trek of the Cross.
Jeffrey Nemeth, of Frackville, portrays Jesus and carries the cross barefoot through the Gordon. This is the 45th time, the event has been done in the borough.
Nemeth's walk begins in front of the church on Biddle Street, follows Hobart Street to Mcknight and Mcknight back to the Biddle. The walk takes approximately 45 minutes.
Borough residents join in and follow along back to the church where a service takes place.
When asked what it's like to reenact the event each year, Nemeth said "It's a very humbling experience.".
