Minersville Man Faces Charges for Exposing Himself

A Minersville man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison for exposing himself earlier this week.

Robert Miller, 56, who resides in the Minersville High Rise, is facing indecent assault charges.

According to Minersville Police Ptlm. Jeffrey Bowers, on Tuesday, April 11th, 2023, he was contacted by a woman that was sitting outside the Minersville High Rise, when an intoxicated Miller attempted to shake her hand.

When she declined, Miller allegedly responded by grabbing and groping the woman's breast and made vulgar comments.

Ptlm. Bowers received a second complaint, this time from security of the high rise, on Wednesday, April 12th, 2023.  Security said that they received a report that Miller had knocked on the door of another tenant inside the high rise, and when the tenant opened their door, Miller was standing in the hallway holding his bare penis and a bottle of alcohol.

Ptlm. Bowers obtained a warrant for Miller, who was then taken into custody on Thursday, March 13th, 2023.

Miller was charged with indecent assault without consent.  He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David Plachko, Port Carbon, and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $25,000 straight cash bail.

Minersville Police also said that the Schuylkill County Housing Authority has begun the eviction process of Miller from the High Rise.
