Wayne E. Fritz, 63, of Pottsville, passed away Thursday, April 6th, at Pottsville Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
Wayne was born in Darby, PA on October 10, 1959, a son of the late Edith Emma (Blomgren) and Herbert Franklin Fritz, Sr.
He was employed as a Construction Worker.
Wayne is survived by Sisters, Alexis Swatton and Edythe Marino along with
Six brothers, Brian Fritz; Vance Fritz; Todd Fritz; Ross Fritz; Herbert Fritz, Jr. and Brent Fritz. Also surviving are numerous Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. In addition to his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his sister Shirley Fritz. Guests are invited to a Memorial Gathering at Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg, on Friday April 14, from 9 to 11AM. Interment will follow at Salem Evangelical Cemetery, Orwigsburg.
He was born on Wednesday, July 6, 1949, in Pottsville, a son of the late Alvin J Schwartz, Sr and the late Hattie D (Lucas) Schwartz.
Alvin was a heavy equipment operator for Barren Coal Company, Pottsville, prior to becoming disabled.
He was a former member of the Joliett Fire Company and the Friedensburg Gun Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; by two sisters, Caroline Hoffman and Joan Lowthert, and a brother, Albert Schwartz.
He is survived by his wife Deborah A (Herb) Schwartz, to whom he was married for 51 years.
He is also survived by a daughter, Mindy E Weaver and her husband Scott of Halifax; a son, Matthew L Schwartz and his wife Abbie of Hegins; a grandson, Joshua L Schwartz of Hegins; two step grandsons, Jeffery A Weaver of Halifax and Derek S Weaver of Florida; two sisters, Nancy Bixler of Fearnot and Anna Madden of Millersburg; a brother, Joseph Schwartz of Delaware; a sister in law, Donna Schwartz of Hegins; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Inc, Valley View, on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Suzanne Elliott officiating.
A viewing will be held from noon to 1:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Church of God Cemetery, Valley View.
Roy L Clark, age 83, of Mill Road, Klingerstown, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023 at his residence.
He was born on Saturday, April 29, 1939, in Klingerstown, a son of the late Calvin Clark and the late Mazie (Shadle) Clark.
He served in the US Army.
Roy worked at the former Muskin Shoe Factory, Millersburg, and retired as a heavy equipment operator from Pine Creek Coal Company.
He was a member of Salem Church of Rough and Ready.
Roy enjoyed hunting, word puzzles, watching western movies, spending time outdoors, and fixing things. He was an excellent handyman.
His wife Dolores E (Kissinger) Clark passed away in 2018. He was also preceded in death by his parents; by three brothers, Willard Clark, Francis Clark, and Dennis Clark, and two sisters, Violet Maurer and Mae Neumeister.
He is survived by a daughter, Angela M Neugard and her husband Brady of Klingerstown; a son, Brian C Clark and his wife Ashley of Hegins; a granddaughter, Brittany L Neugard of Klingerstown; a grandson, Brockton P Neugard of Klingerstown; two sisters, Joan Bordner of Millersburg and Pauline Mace of Dornsife; a brother, James Clark of Berrysburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Salem Church of Rough and Ready, Rough and Ready, on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Mark E Mantz officiating.
There will be no viewing or visitation prior to the service.
Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Inc., Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside burial service on Thursday, April 13th, 2023 at 1 PM at St. John's Cemetery in Ringtown.
