He was born April 7, 1933 in Phoenix Park, a son of the late William and Lottie Updegrove Paul.
He was a graduate of the former Cass Township High School.
He was an Army veteran having served during the Korean War.
Prior to retiring he was employed by Smith Auto Supply, Jonestown and the former Ost & Ost, Pottsville. Loman was also funeral attendant at the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville.
Loman was a member of the Frist United Methodist Church, Pottsville, the former Evangelical United Methodist Church, Pottsville and the church’s Men’s Sunday School Class. Pulaski Lodge 216 F&AM and Tall Cedars of Lebanon.
He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley M. Paul, on March 29, 2021; a daughter, Rev. Debra Paul; a grandson, J.P. Kramer; 5 brothers, William, John, Robert, Harry and Allen Paul; 2 sisters, Pearl Dent and June Paul.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Audrey Brahler, Mount Carbon; Sandra Ginther, and her husband Michael, Marriottsville, MD; Candy Paul; Mount Carbon; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Greco and her husband Steven, Matthew Brahler and his wife Angela; and Michael Ginther; 1 great-granddaughter, Natalie; a sister Joanne McMullian; Nieces and nephews.
Services celebrating the life of Loman will be held Saturday at 11AM from James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with Rev. John Wallace officiating. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30-11AM at the funeral home. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Loman be made to First United Methodist Church, 330 W. Market St. Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment with military honors follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

Suzanne E. Geist, 72, of Tower City, formerly of Hegins, passed away, Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at her home.
Born in Pottsville, February 15, 1951, a daughter of the late Vernon and June Toward Limbert.
Suzanne was retired from Country Meadows Retirement Community, Hershey.
She will be remembered for the love she had for her family. Her life revolved around her two grandsons.
In addition to her parents, Suzanne was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Morgan.
Surviving are her daughter, Angel Hoffman and her husband Mark, with whom Suzanne resided with; two grandsons, Hank and Jake Hoffman; a brother, Dennis Limbert, Valley View; nieces and nephews.
Suzanne will be laid to rest privately in the Greenwood Cemetery, Tower City.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.

Garry T. Laubach, 66 of Ashland, died Tuesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown.
He was born March 3, 1957 in Pottsville a son of the late Thomas and Hildegard Ochs Laubach.
He was a 1975 graduate of Pottsville Area High School and immediately joined the Air Force where he served as an air fire rescue technician for 1975-1979.
He later graduated from Penn State Schuylkill in 1982 and the Reading Hospital paramedic program in 1989.
Prior to retiring in 2022 Gary worked for Western Berks Ambulance, Schuylkill Medical Transports, Pottsville Lions Ambulance and Schuylkill EMS.
Gary was a member and past president of Pottsville Lions Club.
Gary enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, hunting, fishing, hiking camping and canoeing.
Surviving are his wife and high school sweetheart, Georgette Bickleman; a son, Greg Laubach, Port Townsend, WA; a brother, Jeff Laubach, and his wife Helen, Ashland; nieces and nephews.
Gathering of family and friends will be held Monday from 10AM-12PM at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Garry be made to Salvation Army 400 Sanderson St. Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment with military honors will be at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
