A Tower City woman was taken into custody last week for selling drugs in the city of Pottsville.
According to Pottsville Police Chief John Morrow, an investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine in Pottsville resulted in the arrest of Rhonda Gettle, 39, of Tower City.
Morrow said, during the month of January 2023, it was learned through investigation that Gettle was actively selling and distributing methamphetamine in the Pottsville area.
Over the course of the investigation, a large quantity of methamphetamine was purchased from Gettle.
As a result, Gettle was taken into custody on Friday April 14, 2023.
In addition to methamphetamine, Gettle was also in possession of fentanyl and buprenorphine-naloxone.
She was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Gettle arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Stephen Bayer and committed to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $50,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled before Magisterial District Judge James Reiley on April 24, 2023.
