Three people were injured in a crash in Rush Township on Saturday.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred just after 3:00pm on Route 309 near the intersection with Claremont Avenue.
Troopers say the crash began when a Jeep Renegade, driven by Robert Witting, 52, of Tresckow, struck a lane divider sign heading south on Route 309 and continued south traveling in the northbound lane.
At the same time, two vehicles, a Dodge Dart, driven by Michele Sarkowski, 57, of Cumbola, and a Hyundai Elantra, driven by Josh Shelton, 18, of New Ringgold, were traveling northbound.
Witting struck both vehicles and continued south until his vehicle overturned. After overturning, he was ejected through the front windshield.
Wittig was reported to have sustained serious head trauma and was flown to an area hospital. Sarkowski was reported to have sustained minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to by Ryan Township EMS.
Shelton sustained minor injuries and was evaluated at the scene.
